The (red) Ring of Fire

The (red) Ring of Fire photo

Back in February, the Internets was blessed with a very humorous song called "How to kill a brand" by Doc Adams. That song was about how Sony has been (and pretty much kindaish still) is screwing things up with the PlayStation 3. No doubt everyone was thinking that Doc Adams was just some little Xbox or Nintendo fanboy spewing his hatarade on Sony.

Well, Doc Adams is back and this time, the hatarade is targeted towards the Xbox 360. His new song is called "Ring of Fire" which is a parody based on the classic Johnny Cash song of the same name.

Too bad the timing of the song is a little bad since Microsoft is finally doing something to combat the red ring issue. Regardless, it's a great paradoy and well worth a listen. You can check out the song over at The Sarcastic Gamer.

well song that came in my head was Bonnie Tyler "Total Eclipse of the heart"... dont ask why >_>;

and M$ just adding another heat dispenser... its not a complete fix. so that kid is not too late with his song.

now let me play: Kansas, "Dust in the wind" in the name of 360...

Very clever, his sony one was a little more funny but that might be the added video jokes on the youtube video.

@crunshiit

if the 360 gets that kansas song then i have to say that, logically, the ps3 should get queen's "another one bites the dust."

btw, how do you know that adding another heat sink is a complete fix or not? do you know if they added any rewiring or anything of that sort. i imagine you don't.

<i>"Regardless, it's a great paradoy and well worth a listen."</i>

It's spelled parody, actually. Although, truthfully, the word "paradoy" sounds much funnier.

Lol, The xbox support messages were funny. I agree that the PS3 one was better with the funny pictures to go along.

My 360 hasn't crapped out yet. I did get the ring of fire when I disconnected the video cable from the TV...but then I plugged it back in and all was fine.

You know why Microsoft's marketing department is so good? They even sell their biggest mistakes with great names so it at least sounds good.

computers: Blue Screen of Death
xbox 360: Red Ring of Death
etc.

You know some jackass is going to make so half-assed flash animation for this song. Just like any good comedic song.

And I can't stand Johnny Cash.

My 360 hasn't red-ringed, but it DID stop reading discs of all kinds. "Reading" for two seconds, then it gives up and says "Open Tray" as if there's nothing in it. AND I had just bought Forza 2. Played three fucking races! Now I send it in and waaaaiiiiittt...

I read somewhere that one theory for the three red lights was that there were some type of "x' clamp on some chip that was loose and it said to stand the 360 up and gently drop on side. After a few tries it wouldn't work so i got rough with it and whammy my 360 is fine again. You must own your electronics let them know who is boss boo-yah
