The Punisher: No Mercy punishes PSN on July 2 photo

Developer ZEN Studios has announced that its PlayStation Network title, The Punisher: No Mercy, will be available on July 2 for $9.99.

Powered by Unreal Engine 3, No Mercy's first-person action is focused on an online multiplayer affair, supporting up to eight players in solo and team-based modes. The game will also have a single-players story mode, which we can only hope will involve a piranha tank kill (like in Volition’s last-gen title, The Punisher), and not simply be the multiplayer mode with seven bots and some cut-scenes. But we’re not so sure about that last one.

The game is being released exclusively on PlayStation Network, so if you don’t have one of those fancy PlayStation 3s, then you’re out of luck.

As long as it doesn't remind me of how awful the new "warzone" moive was, then I'm cool with this.

The game does look cool though, I enjoyed the 3rd person punisher on xbox alot.

I have $10 sitting around in my PSN account. I was saving it for Fat Princess but they're taking way too long with it. If I hear this is good, I'll pick it up.

I've kept a close eye in this since it was announced. I've been dying for a good arena shooter on consoles. Hoping that this is a no-nonsense frag fest.
