Did you watch the Super Bowl? I didn't. Apparently, Robot Anna Kournikova was winning, last I asked on Twitter.
Oh, and there were some commercials that people were excited about, too. Beer commercials. Commercials for guys who like doing guy things, apparently. Like washing themselves with soap. And Disney's upcoming Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time film, featuring Jake Gyllenhaal and that pretty girl whose name I don't know. (Update: It's Ben Kingsley.)
We've seen trailers before, and a lot of this looks familiar (that bastard CGI snake, for instance). But it does feature some new footage, and here it is in all its glory, without all that sport. (I hope Dale Earnhardt pulled through.)

whats with all the english accent hate? the orginal sands of time game was probably the best of the last 4 POP games and the dude that voiced the prince... put on an english accent. from the little we can hear in the trailer jake has done a pretty good job so far.
@kingsigy: i dunno where ur 'warrior within prince' concerns are coming from because theres no evidence in the trailer that he will be anything like that.
Hate to break this to you man but that's like trailer 101. Even some of the coolest trailers ever follow that or one of the other three basic formulas. It's not like you're gonna get much variety in your trailers.
I thought it was an alright trailer. I had some difficulty following along with the trailer which bothered me. I assumedmy knowledge of PoP would've helped me. Maybe have some neat "Oh yeah," or "Hey look that guy" moments. It did not and that is not a good sign.
I think Ace of Knaves is right. This isn't gonna win any Academy Awards but it will be an entertaining summer movie romp with a coherent plot and acting of some sort and will therefore be the greatest video game film ever. However it will not be 100% true to the game and nerds will get their boxers (and panties) in a bunch. Meanwhile they'll still defend Dante's Inferno. Oh the double standard. You sly lil' devil.
To hell with all of that. The Super Bowl was amazing, the NFL is awesome, and I'm an avid gamer just like a great wealth of football fans who get to come here after the game to see the elitism on display.
But, whatever, it's your website. Act above it all, if it makes you feel good.
