I have a story. I started reading Destructoid a few weeks ago (shortly after I started listening to Podtoid) and after 3 years of reading Kotaku and never commenting on anything I seriously doubted I would ever sign in with Facebook/create an account for here.
Today, with this post, you changed everything.

The problem your facing is that this fandom is particularly large and there is a lot of material posted from it. People choose to share it with the public, again not specific to any one fan following.
Lets say someone didn't like pokemon. Do you know how much random crap people make based off of that? Or Starwars. Or Skyrim. Or anything.
Point being, fans are going to behave like fans, whether you like what they like or not.
I'd rather talk about the adventurer I used to be...

My only question to the... opponents... of ponies is, if all you hate is people who put ponies into everything, and "keep the fad going", does that mean you have the same dislike for people who put Team Fortress into everything?

However, I don't get why people get so damn upset over it. If you don't like it, just ignore it. Again, I'm very aware that the most vocal and visible part of this fandom are those people who are crazy about it and try to shove it down other people's throats, and deride them for not liking the show. The problem is that that kind of people exist in EVERY fandom. The only thing different about MLP is that it's rather big, it's become somewhat mainstream, and above all, it's become Cool On The Internet to hate it.
So yeah. Try to ignore the idiots, and instead focus on the good stuff.
