The Podcastle episode 37: Gundam Light of God photo
The Podcastle returns for yet another unpopular adventure. On this abysmal episode, Jim Sterling misbehaves constantly, Wardrox like inFAMOUS because he's mental and Atheistium sings a load. Elsewhere, Jim's stepson Connor orders popcorn and a drink for his brother.

We also touch upon tax breaks, government reports and a load of other boring bollocks that nobody cares about. So please, go ahead and listen to Destructoid's least popular podcast!

One of the few times we had a major topic open for discussion and it became an awkward to listen to Summa/Burch kind of clashole. Connor was the highlight.

Haha I'll give it a listen when I'm done with work. Conflict, ho!

Connor sounded much smarter than we last heard him. Jim, you have let up on the beatings, have you?

I really don't get how this was any more conflict-driven than usual. As far as I was aware, we were ripping on each other as normal.

Haha, well okay that may have been a weird reaction. The Podcastle is great for abuse and vulgarity, but even if there wasn't anymore piss taking than usual.. maybe it was just the lack of a satisfying enough reaction?

Then again if I'm the only one who figured it maybe there's something just screwy with me today. So probably don't think much of it.

XanderSan: You're not the only one. The guys on the forums think Wardrox and I are now at war.

Oh, haha! Well I didn't think it was THAT bad. Just felt more like two seals flippering each other in an all-too-baking sun whilst a Mermaid whistles innocuously on a nearby rockedge than the usual dinosaurs head-butting each other on the face of a sun while solar flares spunk on athiestium's face.

Wardrox getting quiet was probably what made it weird, but nevermind. To the topics; The Digital Britain stuff does sound interesting, especially given the whole idea of maybe policing the internet. I mean that is what makes the internet great, but then there's really no justification for pirating things exactly. The austrian internet thing was mostly because that's how German gamers get anything thats on that big list of banned games, they just import them online from Austrian retailers. Instead I guess that'll just use any other neighbouring country.

But if we listened to the least popular Destructoid podcast, it might not be the least popular Destructoid podcast any more.

Assassin Connor, hahahaha. That was both the best and worst Podcastle I've ever heard.

Those two lads argue like my wife and I. We won't be talking to each other, then suddenly we'll find someone or something that we both like bitching about, and then everything's better.

Remember guys, make-up sex is the BEST sex ever.

After reading the comments I think I expected something more monumental. That was nothing special - that's just how us Brits tend to talk to one another (we're a cantankerous bunch).

Intriguingly enough, I thought that, when you weren't bickering, that was probably the best Podcastle yet in terms of informative content...

Love the show as always.

But please--mix it down better! The vocal levels are way off. I can't listen at work without Jim's F Bombs bouncing around everywhere, starting small fires.

Sayin!

Also...what TKurata said. In fact, someone to edit the show would generally be a good idea (not just for the purposes of volume levels)

I do not have the 6 hours I use to have to MANUALLY balance the vocal levels EVERY SHOW. Instead I use a basic vocal compressor now. If you would like to pay me, or find me a better VST compressor, be my guest.

Also, FYI the show is edited, but edited so god damn well you can't tell. If you could tell, then the edits wouldn't be very good. Everything left in is left in intentionally and everything taken out, well, you don't hear it. You are very welcome to take the final cut and re-master it yourself then cblog it.
