You love it, you terrible, terrible dogs. Put down that gun and get set to download another listening extravaganza in the form of The Podcastle: Episode 12. This week, Jim Sterling, Wardrox and Atheistium are joined by Amsterdam drug lord Insomnia to discuss random European gaming news ... which pretty much turned into us talking about how successful Sony is over here.
Here are the highlights (or lowlights if you're that way inclined) for this week's show:
Fat people on buses and the problem with old women.
Too many menopausal women: Silo Needed!
Atheistium hates Lost Odyssey's Jansen. We disagree.
Wardrox talks GTA IV (I hear he hates it).
No RetroforceGO! this week? Meet PodcastleforceGO!
PS3 outsells 360 in Europe: A true indication of casual gaming? Really?
Phones and plastic bags can't stop us talking about developers lacking incentive to translate games for Europe.
Terrorism solves everything.
Horrible sh*tty controllers.
User questions and why you should not keep posting on the Podcastle page.
Also, more gratuitous Liquid Snake impressions.
Download now or go listen to it on iTunes if you like that sort of thing.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Podcastle is just too appealing a name to pass up.
"What is a Jim Sterling?"
How's that for a blow your mind inquiry?
Sweet jesus I love you guys.
Awesome Podcast, anyway. Is it wrong that my favourite parts are the ones that have nothing to do with games and are just Jim talking about how he hates old people?
Also Jim, your Liquid Snake (or just Liquid Snake in general) sounds very like David Mitchell from Peep Show. The resulting mental image tickled me.
Damn you Jim now I'll stalk your articles and call you out on your fanboyism with broken logic and put three 6s after my name /endjoke
on another note, if i had known to just put raccon suit form mario bros 3 it couldve saved me the trouble of looking it up the actual name of the damn thing. Hilarious ending none the less
A casual game is one with no required backround or introduction, which a player without investing much time at all can get into and get out of quickly in order to pass time and have fun without devoting much effort to it. There are, of course, various degrees of this, with Bejeweled on one far end of the spectrum and a JRPG on the other, and games like GTA somewhere just left of center. Casual gamers are those who don't consider gaming a hobby or get into it or give a fuck about console stats or competition or researching purchases. They don't want to invest any more time or thought than necessary in gaming, because it's just to pass time with a little bit of fun while bored or waiting for something else. You can play Bejeweled without any significant effort: Just go to the page in your browser and go. You can play a Wii party game without any significant effort. You can't just jump into Final Fantasy and expect to have a fun time that can easily be taken in small doses.
In relation to the anti-elderly tone of parts of this show, I was at the beach yesterday with some friends and this bus full of old women on an outing turned up. The two nurses with them set up a sort of mini croquet set and the old women proceeded to tap balls a few centimetres every few mintues. They were then led back to the bus like children and constantly being shouted at like children. It wasn't even funny. I'll gladly shoot anyone when they get to that age. o.0
Wardrox: The opposite of concave is convex.
As for the boat name, the best I have (and will probably ever have) is the SS Des-DRUG-toid
Great show guys, it rocked my pants off.
