You know, part of me wants the content and f2p model in TOR succeed, or at least let Bioware break even on it. I feel the MMO fans' paradigm shift to wanting nothing but endgame/raid content is ludicrous, and is what's killing the genre.
Sorry, but I don't want to drudge through 50-80 levels of shit just to get to the content they concentrated on the most. If you can't make the build up interesting, then I'll be bored in a week. If you didn't pick up TOR to play co-op KOTOR, then you're a moron. If you breezed through TOR in three weeks and skipped all the dialogue, then I'm happy you lost money in the deal, because you are what's wrong with the MMO audience right now.

I guess they have to answer Mists of Pandaria with something. But I don't think this is going to do the trick.
Still not enough to do and the pace at which they are introducing "new" content is just too slow to matter.
Star Wars is a hoot. My dad and I used to play with my Luke Skywalker figure together. He'd draw eyes on a Dixie cup and I'd be Luke and we'd fight. I lost the light saber not even a day after I got the figure so I used a toothpick I painted blue with mom's nail polish. Dad and I had a lot of fun. I know he was real tired after his shift at the plant but he always made time to play with me. I miss him so much.
Is this new evil because they can't really do much to the existing Star Wars universe, or Lucas would get mad? Seems rather restrictive, if true. Ah the troubles of basing an MMO on an existing IP, and not fully owning it.
It's hilarious that they actually stamped one operation, emotes, and breaking the resolve system further (making noob CC mistakes not matter as much) then called it "1.4".
Maybe in a year this game will be worth a shit. If they can keep up content. I've played it since launch mind you and cleared the hardest Raid content up until this point. They simply should have delayed the game a year. All's they've done the past 9 months is play catch up and fire 2/3's of their staff. Way to fucking go EA... The IP would print money if you'd just not royally fucked it up.

I honestly just wish I could play through this game with absolutely no one else in a server and the ability to rewind the game if I die or fuck something up. I honestly cant stand the entire MMO game structure. I just want fucking Kotor III. Give the fucking fans what they want, already. I'D GLADLY GIVE YOU $60 FOR THAT.
Clearly Swtor didn't work, otherwise you wouldn't need to be jumping to F2P so soon. Maybe it'll save the game, maybe it won't. Either way you're neglecting an incredibly large segment of gamers by not making more single player Star Wars RPG-ness.
