Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

The latest video from Sierra's World in Conflict shows us what we all already know -- real wars suck but videogame wars are fun as hell! Sure, it is just the a CGI trailer (I'm a sucker for CGI trailers) but it has really raised my interests in the game now.

This trailer is the intro to the New York City battle and also reveals that New York City will be a location in the game. The game will be out for PC late September and for Xbox 360 mid November.

Of course, I understand that not everyone is as easily amused by CGI trailers as me. So, check out Promagnum's impressions of the demo that came out last month. Or you know, check out the demo for yourself. Let us know what you think!

[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

When they've filmed the remake of Escape From New York starring Gerard Butler as Snake Plisken, I'd presume bleep.

Great, another trailer that tells me nothing about a game, just what I need. Why don't people go the Gears of War route and make their trailers in engine??

well I think the trailer was saying that the game might involve helicopters flying around the statue of liberty while being shot at with rockets. This is a good thing as helicopters are great to have in video games.

It's certainly very expressive. I've played the beta, it's a great game.

I'm interested how the public will react when the game is released about combat in their home country. I bet you anything someone's going to say "It's too real for the kids" or "This is going to make ids scared of our country"

I have to say that the trailer was actually quite terrifying especially the shot of the troops falling out the back of the chopper. but as most have said it's just a CG trailer and wouldn't make me want to buy it.

ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK Game would be excellent, I've loved that movie since i first seen it some time in the 80s I'm not sure when i seen it but seeing as i was 2 years old when it was released i doubt i seen it then :D probably about 1988 I'd have seen it. AWWW who fucking cares!? I've seen it and loved it.

Could be interesting, so long as the gameplay doesn't suck.

When will they make a game that tells the truth about world conflict; that the U.S. wins everything?

I want that game jus' cuz they used Audioslave! But really, if you get ot battle out scenarios in New York and maybe some other locales such as L.A or Oakland (lol I just wanna have a fuckin battle in Oakland!) then this could end up a sweet game. Better not be a CS clone though...

Would work better if it didn't remind me of Killzone 2 so much. Are vulnerable troop carriers being shot at a new game cliche yet?

For everyone who is worried about the gameplay, it's amazing. The multiplayer is easily the most fun I've ever played in an FPS, or ever for that matter. Tactical Nukes FTW! I can't wait to get my piece of the Berlin Wall. That is easily the best gimmick ever. World in Conflict > Halo 3 by far.

It should convey how lucky we are not to have to deal with an invading country. Use your imagination for a second and put yourself in the situation here of an invading army attacking and holding positions in your city, and watching our boys try to recapture it. Pretty scary if you ask me.
