Finally, after concept trailers and concept art, we finally get a look at what Mushroom Men for the Wii and DS will look like. Well, maybe. The beginning of the video warns us that what we are watching may not be the end result, but at least it's something.

The first part of the video shows off the Wii version and gives us some of the basic plot line. You play as one of the Edible Mushrooms during a civil war taking place between the Edible Mushrooms and Poisonous Mushroom. The most interesting part of the trailer shows off how players will be able to take items the Mushrooms have found from the human world and create different type of weapons out of everything.

Whereas the Wii version will be a giant fully explorable world, the DS version is going to be a side-scroller set in a 3D world. The DS version will be a prequel to the Wii version and looks to maintain the same weapon customization.

So far, so good. A lot of buzz has been going around this game so it'll be really interesting to see the final product next fall.

Aww. Not only does it look cute (little mushroooooms!), but you can use a grapple and float using your oversized head. ^_^

Are they of the magic variety too? (j/k)

The concept art looks fuckin' RAD! Let's hope the game can reach the same quality.

That's actually pretty sweet looking. Mutated mushrooms wage war against their poisonous counterparts whilst other plants gain various levels of sentience as well. Looks pretty good for being a year out.

the concept art initially shown is/was more dark in nature, and i was hopeing the game would follow , but it still looks solid. i look forward to this games release.

Great concept art followed up with what could be innovative and fun game play? This is looking better and better.

Also gamecock.

It's not as gritty as the concept art made it seem. Sad panda. But it still looks solid, and I like the concept. The environments remind me of the Toy Story and Army Men games. I always liked the "seeing the world through the eyes of a toy/bug/whatever" concept in games. Hopefully this one will do it well.

It's a bit weird and Sharpless is right about the grittyness or rather lack of grittyness

I'm digging the music, for some reason this reminds me a lot of Oddworld in tone. If I have a Wii by next fall, I might have to pick this up.

I'm with everyone who mentioned the concept art. They need to get that look into the game ASAP.
