In its year-long quest to figure out the greatest animal in videogames, MTV Multiplayer is now taking votes from readers to determine the “Greatest Aquatic Animal in Videogame History.”
Now, I know a lot of you right now are wondering how this is news. Well, it really isn’t, but did you actually expect me not to post this? Seriously? There are multiple dolphins on the list (*fap*?). For me, this news is more groundbreaking than if Square-Enix was to officially announce a PlayStation 3 remake of Final Fantasy VII. Cloud, who? It’s all about Ecco, dammit!
I have to admit, I am pretty impressed with the huge list of nominees Multiplayer came up with. From the seventh colossus in Shadow of the Colossus to Jabu-Jabu in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, pretty much every aquatic creature is covered. And although I have my favorites (Del Lago and Linda the Lungfish FTW!), I will be a sad man if one of the multiple dolphins on the list doesn’t emerge the victor.
So this is a request for you all: Please click here and vote for a dolphin. Any dolphin. That’s all I ask. Destructoid army … UNITE! We can make this happen. Get to voting!

And yes ECCO owns even his 3d game on dream cast ruled you could do dolphin tricks like from sea world in the water and it looked sweet.

And there dog list did not even include Petter puppy from earthworm jim and that damn lame parappa the rapper dog over sam and max obviously I should not expect much from MTV watchers.
So ecco has no hope in the hands of MTV watchers since there all a bunch of mainstream pop culture whores.

And can they have a search for the best aquatic video game character without including any water Pokemon? They clearly haven't had their opponent get a Kyogre in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Otherwise they'd fear his wrath.

Ecco for king of the universe!
I was considering voting for the aquatic life in StarTropics, since it includes dolphins, but I didn't think it was dolphinny enough to count.
I voted for ECCO, but a large part of me really wanted to vote for Clanker from Banjo Kazooie.
