Quantcast

¡Ay caramba, cojones! The Mexican-themed parody game reminds us of an over-the-top GTA meets Hot Shots, sans Charlie Sheen. Chili Con Carnage is set to launch this year on the PSP; check out the trailer above. If you can bare to not destroy your console with a katana, you might actually enjoy this silly game from Eidos. Best name ever.

I really think this game would have been better if it had been released perhaps three years ago....right? (wait ten years ago even better)

Yeah this was released 2005 as Total Overdose, and this is simply the port to the PSP with a different name.

It's actually probably a very smart thing that they decided to change the name. It's awesome. And being a Mexican male between the ages of 18-24 it made me want to purchase it....like a sucker.

I wouldn't play it on PSP, but its a fun game. I got the demo a year ago or so and was tempted to buy it, its down to about $10 on PC now. It was actually fun for what it is.

I remember I wanted this game when it was total overdose until I talked to a few friends and some guys at a gamecrazy, they all agreed that even though it might look cool at first and that it would be as good as max payne it isn't and sucks a big one. Do yourself a favor, instead of buying it just play Max Payne with Ranchero music on in the background.

This reminds me of the playstation days when Eidos was still awesome, or was it I who was too young to have an opinion? In the future when I'm rich and succesful and all that other postive stuff I'll be sure to pick this up in the bargain bin along with my new psp.

Played it when it was called Total Overdose, and it sucked. As one Fifteenth Mexican I was also quasi-offended.

I am Mexican and I feel offended, wheres people wearing sombreros and lying in the ground all day under nopales (cactuses)? I mean havent you guys ever been to Mexico? specially the DF? is exactly like that!!! the whole country!!!

Come on guys, 50-70's cartoons are a whole more racist than most videogames today.

Anyway, yeah this is a remake of total overdose, it kind of sucked but it was also fun for a while like GTA on Tequila. And the locales do look a lot like Tijuana at least the taco stands in the corners and VW sedan taxi cabs are accurate (yeah we do have that). so .. ok.

The cover is a complete Joke though. Total Overdose had a much better one.

Meh, racism is overrated.

Tequila isn't ;)

Total Overdose was hilarious. It had midget guards with shotguns on a marijuana farm.

I would like to be less biased, but as a Mexican geek any trailer with "control machete" or "molotov" in the soundtrack has a quasi-hipnotic effect blurring away all my good judgement.

Either that or I just had too much tequila and estrellita beer last night, we will probably never know for sure, it's a mistery.

Did I mentioned I once met "molotov" in a bar party before they were famous? if you think their songs were a little bit offensive you should have heard them when they actually wanted to offend people. Lovely anthems such as "puto" and the thought provocative "chinga tu madre" touched the fibers of my soul. good times. good times.

Putting people wearing ponchos and big sombreros in the desert and saying it's Mexico, is like putting big, fat, red, hamburger eating people and saying it's the USA.
I mean, there ARE some people like that, but they can't represent a country.

Are you really Mexican-American, Nex??
