This video should tell you two things. One, never ever read or listen to a message you get while playing a versus game. The only exception to this rule being that you're expecting an invite to another match or game.
 
The other thing this video will tell you is that you really want to pull off the same thing yourself now. Seriously, I'm really looking forward to doing something similar as this in an online match.

Cool vid, but it's even better if you do it with a cooked grenade, at a distance where you won't get killed. Or shooting them right between the eyes. :)

@ Squirrel Pope: I find it believable. I personally do check messages in games, and if you get one saying turn around, I would figure I have an ally with a headset trying to convey something to me. Or perhaps I am blocking someone. I doubt though the person got knifed realized what happen, but I am sure it happen, if not in this case, then in another case.

And this was damn funny.

Can you hear the other team talking if you are nearby in COD? Killzone has proximity chat, so you can just tell someone to look behind them through the mic.

@SantanaClaus: the messages go pretty instantaneously, but all that shows up is a little popup that says "so and so sent you a message," and so the person would have to take a few seconds to check it out, read it, and close the XMB before getting back to the game.
