I'm not saying every shmup has to be Gradius V for Ikaruga, but this just looks stupid.
Where the hell is Donkey Kong and Star Fox wii?
I remember Pop 'n' Twinbee being quite tough despite it's tooth melting sugary cuteness, so there are no excuses with this one.
Yeah, looks totally boring. SHMUPs are a niche genre now and tend to appeal mostly to "hardcore" gamers. I don't know who this is going to appeal to.
I don't have any love for Wii. This doesn't help maters any. A few hardcore SHMUPs might change my mind though. (Realistically, probably not.)
Me and my friends used to beat the classic Dreamcast Shumps Mars Matrix, Giga Wing 1 and 2, and especially Gunbird 2 over and over and over again. We probably beat Gunbird 2 50 times in one week. It never got boring.
I'm hoping this game offers the same experience.
Colour me disappointed.
