.....know what? Ima do that too.
I thought Black ops was the most anticipated game in history?
Ah well next year we'll probably have Call of duty: black modern ops 4.
I am looking forward to the game but my anticipation for elderscrolls is higher then this and my anticipation for deus ex was higher then this before it came out. heck my anticipation for battlefield is more than this.
I like cod but seriously this game seriously is not the god among games its made out to be.
Surprised they got that so wrong. *shrug*
Add to these reasons that I already have Arkham City and will soon be in possession of Sonic Generations Xbox & 3DS as well as Halo Anniversary and possibly Assassin's Creed Revelations, and I've got my gaming needs sorted for a few months!
Now, I feel like that kind of excitement has died down. Not to say it won't sell by the shit load, it's just that most now know it's a yearly thing, like Fifa and Madden.
And it's hard to get that excited each and every year. Especially when it seems so similar to what we've been playing for nearly 4 years now.
I'll probably rent. I'm bored stiff of its MP and I can't justify paying full price for a 5-6 hour campaign at most. Even then, I preferred COD4s campaign out of all the rest. It was definitely not "super realistic" but it felt more down to earth.
This all just feels very B-Movie stuff now and MW2s campaign is nearly completely forgotten. I only remember the main set pieces. Any form of pacing seems to have been wiped out.
I feel like the MP has some great ideas and gameplay mechanics, but they have so many toys now that they need to make the maps bigger to handle that. Generally, the more closed in with previous COD maps, the more chaotic it gets.
I'm not saying BF3 size big, but just bigger to fit in all the new features COD has put in and expanded on since COD4.
I might pick up next years. Maybe.
Oh, dude! It was like world war 3 at first and then it flipped to modern warfare 3, I just caught that! Damn, pretty clever!!! Still, this game can go fuck right off lol.
I am sure I will pick it up some day cheap but just for the singleplayer the COD multiplayer formula is just not my thing anymore...
I apologize for the troll.
@Blah: I bought BlackOps New for $30 back in April. Amazon is your best friend. BlackOps was Blehblehblehbleh.
yeah
i swear if there's a fourth...
and i have an idea here...
imagine if they stopped releasing CODs with single player and multiplayer packed together
now stick with me here
and instead just released single player only CODs yearly and just stuck with the current multiplayer model as its own thing. basically, make it (the multiplayer) an XBLA/PSN thing. instead of a full priced 60 dollar SP/MP affair.
i mean, the past few CODs have really just been copy/paste on the MP side of things anyway. why not go with that model for the MP and update whenever needed, be it a technical thing or adding maps, guns, etc. all the while selling the SP portion for like, i dont know, 30 bucks.
i dont know just a thought
me: dad videogames are a great bussines
dad: Prove it
me: for example there is a game that is the same shit every year, like for the last 4 or 5 years and is the best selling game every year, just change the name
dad:and people its so stupid that doesn't notice and keep buying it
me:yes tons of people
dad:What is the name of that game?
me: Call of Duty
Still, looks like fucking CoD, big surprise.
EA don't release the same games every year? That's news to me :P

This looks like a typical shallow shootfest with not a lick of innovation in sight, am I supposed to be impressed? Calling it the anticipated game in history is also a crazy stretch.
Battlefield 3 single player looks about the same too, I don't think it really matter which one you get.
They both seem pretty lame to me.
And no, I don't give a crap about multiplayer, I have too much to do with my time. You may as well play the previous games multiplayer as it's going to be the exact same experience.
I could go on longer about most gamer's apparent need to feel like they belong to an exclusive club, but I'll save that for my blog(if I ever get around to it).
On topic: I'll be sure to try this out when my checking account is much healthier.
But that is only my opinion.
