Watched this earlier today. Unlike you, whoever, I STILL can't get enough Bad Company 2, and this looks like just the fix I'll need. Combat Mission mode in multiplayer is the spice and variety that Rush mode has needed.
I was just thinking how badly I wish I could be playing this right now. I'm not sick of bfbc2, but something new would be appreciated.
"Anyone else in the same boat?" Absolutely not. I am SO excited for the multiplayer experience. I have never been so disappointed when a beta ended. I was playing PC in the beta, and if you played as the insurgents you crashed if you got too many kills. It didn't matter to me, I kept going back. The game is THAT GOOD and as much as I hate time going fast, I want it to fly by so October gets her so I can play. "My hands are shakin!" Bring it on, Dice!
How come the beta wasn't that exciting. I couldn't last more than two seconds without getting killed and here this guy is hip firing with a fucking pistol, at a distance too! What the fuck!
MoH looks awesome. I am not in the same boat though, as I do not like BF2. I am hoping this game is that bridge between BF2 and CoD; fast, smooth, and well-paced.
Honestly, I just can't get interested or excited in this. Something about the gameplay just turns me off. It seems too damn rigid in terms of animation and movement. It looks great, but in my opinion it really lacks the sense of human beings in conflict. The animation makes me think of cardboard cutouts, not people, if that makes any sense.
@Blindfire Makes sense, but I have to respectfully disagree. I do, though, know what you mean; I had the same issue with World at War.

I'm in the same boat. To me, it seems like a clone of Bad Company 2 with fewer vehicles, an uglier HUD, and faster action. It just hasn't really appealed to me yet...I guess I'm just in the boat of waiting for the Vietnam DLC instead.

a few things come to mind after watching this video 1) i feel sumwhat fooled by previous gameplay footage i've seen before this because i thought it looked sumwhat realistic 2) after watching this video i saw sumthing that looked idk,, arcadey? for a lack of a better term. 3) i'm already tired of MW2s multiplayer due to all the feecked up things that go on (i'm talking noob tube galore and a biatch load of knife wielding Michael Greenes) and MoH just turned that into a a less skilled version where killing sumone is so constant and stylized... i guess all this ranting is because i want one thing in this world. that being a fps where real world modern battlefield skills are essential to success. will it ever happen?? probly not but i can still dream

Medal of Honor: Modern Warfare. I'm so unbelievably elated. Look at the excitement on-- Ow! My sarcasm gland!
That kind of Match rarely happen's in BFBC 2, by which I mean all the players advance along a similiar route with the enemy forming lines of defense rather than doing something clever. So I don't think I'll consider a purchase based on this video.

I like how it's less one-on-one-fastest-to-the-trigger-shooting-gallery than cod, that's why I like mag, multiple targets, rather than running around a map being fastest to the trigger whenever you come up on one of many lone enemies.
Just hope it's more about the shooting than the perks and killstreaks. Because that's where cod's problems are in my book.

That beta was just bad. It felt like a stripped down bad company/cheap knock off cod. The worst part were the deaths, get shot once the screen freezes then yer dead thing. I hope they put a fixed demo up before release because based on the beta this is a no buy for me. Actually I probably won't buy this game anyway and hate to say it but I'm liking what I've seen from black ops.

It really does look a lot like the Battlefield: Bad Company series. The animations and everything are almost exactly the same. I'm not sure if that's a good thing; if they're striving for realism then the arcadey action of Bad Company doesn't really work well. On the other hand, Bad Company 2 is a fantastically fun game, so if this is pretty much a variation of it it should also be pretty awesome.
I'm picking up Medal of Honor for the single player, at least giving it a rental or borrow. If it really hooks me in, I'll consider buying it.

Having played the multiplayer at PAX, I thought the game handled well, and looked awesome to boot. Wearing the headsets with he sound cranked made it quite the harrowing experience to be shot at. That being said, it's getting though not to get burnt out on military shooters these days.
Meh.. this looks to be a lot of more of the same. I'll likely give it a pass. I like shooter games that can accomodate larger groups rather than the standard 4 person squad so I'll wait on KZ3 or R3 or something else.
Honestly if this game can be shipped without bullshit perks/killstreaks, we may have a fantastic arena shooter.
Yeah, no matter how many videos I watch, I just get this constant BC2 vibe (with some MW2 taint in it) and since I'm still playing BC2 and enjoying it, I will probably not be getting this anytime soon.

Looks neat, but it was all just scripted multiplayer. They just had everybody that was playing follow a script. Why was he firing wildly over their heads?
Beta lagged just like BC2 does. It's so harshly buffered, and the guns wave so damn weirdly while walking or sprinting, just like in BC2. This game just feels way too buffered, like it ran 200 ms late on your client and the server, just like BC2. I'll skip the buying part, more likely I'll rent it if anything at all.
Yeah this will be a pass. The beta was unplayable and this just looks like even more spamming of kill streaks, err point streaks or whatever they want to call it in this one. I'm not supporting Dice until they can prove to me they will continue to patch their games instead of pumping out our useless "free DLC" to people who actually bought their games and then give us shit DLC for a price tag. After they broke BC2's MP and decided never to fix it my decision of whether they can have my money or not was decided.

FWIW, I think this looks Fantastic. I've playing BFBC2 exclusively since it came out, God of War III, Red Dead Redemption, and MAG are all sitting on the shelf because I can't get enough BFBC2. So, a similar game based on the same engine with some new modes, etc, has me stoked.
