The Maw creator presents 'Splosion Man photo

We already know a little bit of info about 'Splosion Man, the newest project from Twisted Pixel (better known as the minds behind The Maw). Today they announced a new trailer, and from the looks of it, it's going to be a lot of fun. An official website has also been announced, which you can keep an eye on for new info.

According to the press release, 'Splosion Man will feature fifty single player levels and fifty 4 player co-op levels. Unconventional boss battles and flying meat were also mentioned, which makes me think we can't be in for anything less than a ton of laughs from this title. No word on a release date yet, but we'll keep you posted as we find out mopre about this clever looking title.

Looking forward to this.

That giggling is very contagious. Also, it's weird because that guy reminds me of Stimpy from Ren and Stimpy. Actually, a lot of things from that trailer reminded me of several things from that show. This should turn out good.

Yeah, the N+ comparison is definitely apt, AlienGuy. This thing has my attention, that's for sure.

I might buy this. Not sure though. I bought The Maw and the DLC, all of which was amazing just TOO SHORT! I hope this is longer.

'Splosion in the pants. Loved N+, and if this can compete, I am so there. But is there mention of a level editor? Man i spent so much time making levels in N+.

I dunno, it looks like a pretty standard 2D platformer to me, but instead of just jumping, he explodes to jump.

I think I just sploded. They need to say "Get ready to splode!" before the trailer, not after.

Sounds a little gimmicky. So you explode to kill people and jump. Anything else?

@eskimo bob:
100 points for extra levels that are half an hour to 45 minutes in length? The only way it could have been cheaper was if they released it for free. I was so happy to hand over my money to these guys considering companies like Capcom charge us 100 points per costume change. If you haven't downloaded the MAW bonus levels, I recommend giving one of them a try. They're longer than the games' normal levels and a lot of fun.

I love that the main character is totally batshit insane. He reminds me of the "explosion guy" from Rockman Neo on Newgrounds. I always wanted to see more of the explosion guy.
