The Light of the Darkness looks promising
The Light of the Darkness is a work-in-progress Metroidvania indie game project led by Brazilian Fernando Rabello. Although already in development for some time, there isn't a launch date yet defined, partly due to the craftsmanship involved and partly due to insufficient funding to get the game ready. Artistically speaking, the game's visuals are pretty good! Actually, really awesome at times. They strike me as something like Actraiser meets Odin Sphere. But despite the great graphics there are some camera movement and animation issues, apart from some other minor technical problems from what can be seen on the trailer. As soon as a playable version is available a more complete analysis can be made. But, just by its looks, The Light of the Darkness has already caught my attention. Something gamewise to remember Brazil other than Blanka! If you liked the game enough to want to play it, or even if you just want to help the project come to life, you can support the game through the Kickstarter. Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)So am I the only one who can think of nothing but Epic Meal Time when listening to this music...? Apart from that, not really digging the artstyle. Probably not my kinda game. The art style is not my style at all, which is great cause it will be awesome to have it grow on me. Looks interesting, though the few bits of battling we got seemed somewhat lacking to me. I guess I only felt a almost annoyed by Recoil's comment because I'm brazilian as well...
But he's right actually, the name is a bit silly. As one of the bigger Odin Sphere fans around, I have to say this looks really lovely. I would like to see a more diverse color palette, but maybe we just haven't seen enough of the full game yet. This looks like it could be incredibly tasty. I'll gladly keep an eye on this as it develops. Looks decent. I think it could benefit from having the camera a bit further out though. Lots of places in the trailer had completely blind jumping which I'm not a fan of. 12:00 PM on 05.18.2013 Preview: The Last of UsI was skeptical of The Last of Us. Despite all the hype and high promises, to me, it looked like post-apocalyptic Uncharted. I wasn't sold on the dynamic nature of how the game progressed, and as we all know, zombies have been literally done to death in the past five years. Then, I got a chance to actually play it. How many days until June 14th again?

9:23 AM on 05.17.2013 The Wonderful 101 coming to the Wii U on September 15thFinally! Nintendo announced today that PlatinumGames title Wonderful 101 will be coming to the Wii U on September 15th. The game came under some fire recently for being touted as a "short" experience, but I personally can't wait, as PlatinumGames rarely misses. Oh, and it totally has waterslides.

3:30 PM on 05.16.2013 Watch the worst Fallout game ever madeJordan and I have started a new game in our Couch Campaign, and it's one that I have been excited to play since we first began talking about the project. As a huge fan of the Fallout franchise and a lover of top-down, exploration shoot-em-up games, the pairing of the two could have been glorious. And Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is, provided you think train wrecks can be glorious.
