The Archie Mega Man series continues! We've finally made it to issue #12, the one with the sweet Euro MM2 box art homage cover. With this, the Mega Man 2 story arc comes to a close, but before the issue hits shelves, you can check out some pages exclusively here on Destructoid.
In an unexpected twist, events haven't played out quite like they did in the NES game. Each copied Robot Master weapon also installed bits of malware into Mega Man's system, ultimately turning him into Wily's slave. What this means is that the Light Numbers have a chance to shine and be the heroes of the day! All eight (remember, Oil Man and Time Man are along for the ride!) of the MM1 line must storm Wily's fortress, battle the Mecha Dragon, and somehow subdue a corrupted Mega Man who can tap into the abilities of Wily's comparatively more powerful Robot Masters.
This turn of events reminds me a lot of Hitoshi Ariga's Mega Man Megamix -- watching the extended cast swoop in to steal the spotlight was one of the best parts of that series. I hope these characters are given plenty more development opportunities further down the road.
With the Archie Sonic / Mega Man crossover, "Worlds Collide," I've been doing impressions posts every set of three issues. What I have to say about these works simply cannot be condensed into short three-paragraph news posts ...

As much as it pains me to say, Sonic and Mega Man's fun times together in "Worlds Collide" won't last forever. But hopefully enough new readers will be ready and willing to stick around for what lies ahead for both heroes.

I'm not sure what it is about fighting games and leaks. It's almost as if their mere existence is a challenge for the world to determine the roster ahead of time. With Injustice: Gods Among Us, word got out that Lobo, Batgir...
