The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks gets limited edition photo

It's not just console games that get extravagant collector's editions. The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is hurtling ever closer to its December 7 release date, and a special edition has been revealed for Hyrule fans to lap up.

The collector's edition comes in the obligatory tin case, which contains a regular boxed copy of the game. Also packed in with the game are two little figurines of Link and a Phantom. So far, we know that GameStation in the UK is selling them, although details on where anyone else can get hold of one seem to be thin on the ground as of right now. I'm sure Nintendo will reveal all soon.

So, what say you? Interested in picking this up, or is it just far too luxurious for you?

call me picky, but this is a really shoddy picture. The cover isnt even big enough to cover the box. Did a freshman in college make it?

While I'll probably end up buying the game anyway, the "limited edition" figures just look like the Gashapon figures you can get for two dollars.

Figures look cute, but I'll have to see how it's priced.

Unless the price difference is minuscule, I'll probably just stick with the normal edition.

I think I'll pass on a limited edition. I wasn't that big of a fan of the last Zelda game on the DS.

Wow it looks awesome. As long as the price is reasonable for me, I think I'll be getting this.

£10 more for a couple of gashaphon figures? No thanks.

I'll probably try to get it. It looks nice, and I doubt the price will be too high.

UK only for now? Guess Necros will have a hard time getting his hands on this one.

Is the DS card/cartridge going to be gold?

The awesomeness of that tin is blinding me from the rather expensive price tag. This is something I'm definitely directing my parents to for Christmas.

Eh. TRAIN LINK doesn't really do anything for me. Plus I try not to purchase anything with non-euclidean geometry.

More than likely this'll be a "Yes" from me. I was buying it anyway and an extra £10 for some nice packaging and some nice figurines, plus the fact I'm a tool for all things Zelda, seems reasonable to me.

That's a Photoshop disaster going on there. It's bad enough (as Psychaberration pointed out) the cover of the ten doesn't fit the rest of it, but that attempt to make 3D figurines from what's obviously a 2D image is horrible.

Photoshop snobbishness aside, DO WANT.

If this is another 'you have to play it with the stylus because we say so', then I'll pass.

The last DS Zelda was shite for this reason.

Hmm. I was gonna wait on this because I wasn't a huge Phantom Hourglass fan, but I want the figurines. DAMN YOU, NINTENDO!

I've already got the figurines. A shame they'd just re-use the Phantom Hourglass figures for this.

If it's only a 5 dollar difference I'll probably get this (assuming I have some spare cash around release). I didn't love Phantom Hourglass as much as some games in the series, but it was still a lot of fun. The only thing that would keep me from buying this game is hearing that there's a stupid timed stealth temple you have to go retread a million times like in Phantom Hourglass.

Am I wrong, or does Nintendo almost NEVER do a collector's edition of its games? I can't remember the last time they released one. For that reason alone, I want this.

@ Zarathustra: Metroid Prime Trilogy
But I concur, Nintendo has so many popular franchises, you think they would have started this sooner.
