I can't wait for my pre-order on this ^^
...... also probably the last nintendo game I will buy for quite some time, oh well.
People need to stop complaining about motion controls. When they're done properly they're lots of fun. I've played Skyward Sword. The MotionPlus works great.
Anyway, SS is exactly what Zelda needs. Fresh and invigorating.
There should be enough content between the dungeons to make entering the next dungeon something to anticipate rather than dread. And Hyrule field was just something to ride Epona across rather than explore. Most other Zelda games were really good about balancing overworld/dungeon content, though, its just TP didn't do that so well and I ended up dreading the dungeons eight, nine and ten more than enjoy them.
Hmm that about sums up my disdain for WindWaker, just replace dungeons with finding maps, decoding said maps and dredging up tiforce pieces. Probably one of the only Zelda games I never bothered finishing. All I really had to do was finish decoding a few maps and dredging the triforce pieces but the tedium involved just wasn't worth it.
TP on the other hand, I loved the hell out of ^^
MGS: Rising also looks slow and clunky. Judging by how fun the swordplay in Wii Sports Resort was and how amazing this is going to be, I don't see how a new Zelda could be justified without them.
Twilight Princess was not made for the Wii, Skyward Sword is. This is a completely different situation.
@The Silent Protagonist
Wuh?
Nearly every dungeon in Twilight Princess dungeon had a huge lead up time, there was generally a whole new area to explore before you even got to them. Sure the overworld COULD have been denser, but to ignore the things that Twilight Princess did the best (dungeon design, minigames, character development, length and variety of content) is silly.
@Scuffles
Wind Waker was awesome and definitely worth finishing. It's hard to deny that it has the weakest gameplay and content in the 3D series though.

HOLD ON.
A motion controlled Scimitar (either the return of useable enemy weapons or proper ones like Biggoron's Sword)?
Crafting system integrated into bloody EVERYTHING?
This will be the best thing ever.
Rest assured, the swordplay is nothing like TP. I played the demo at E3 and it feels great. The whole combat system is dependent on the direction you flick the Wiimote, no flailing required.
@Dr-Peace
What the fucking shit, "it's hard to deny that [Wind Waker] has the weakest gameplay and content in the 3D series"??? It's leaps and bounds better than Twilight Princess. The only big flaw was the Triforce fetch quest.
As I said, Wind Waker is awesome and plenty innovative.
That doesn't change the fact that it's the shortest, has the least and least memorable dungeons, is the easiest, has the least side content, has the emptiest overworld etc...
It's a well known fact that the game was rushed and had stuff cut, it could have been even better.
