This game just keeps getting better looking everytime a new trailer is released. What did you all think of the latest GTA IV trailer?
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

I sorta like what I see, but fear that the series has lost its level of humor and style.
I think it would have been much more fitting for the game to try and go for a look more akin to the cover art of the games rather than this realistic look. The characters do not look nearly realistic enough for me to suspend belief at this point. They should have embraced the style and caricature-ish nature of the titles and made everything much less "real" 'cause to me... this looks like a True Crime game, and that's not a compliment.
GTA trailers has always had gameplay footage, but not GTA4
what are they hiding? dont think this game be as good as ppl expect, the graphics dosent look that good
I can hardly tell good graphics from bad ones, but the ones in this trailer still look off. Trailer itself was awesome though, I wonder what movie this game is based off of.
Looks like Niko is Russian after all since theres Russian rap playing in the background. Or I guess he could be working with Russians a lot.
But the trailer looked decent, but the graphics looked like they could use some more polish. But if the gameplay is good no one is gonna care right? (No, because pretty much everyone is a graphics whore)

As far as trailers go it was decent, all cutscene from the looks of it. Gave a little more info about the storyline. I know I'll pick this up either way but overall it was a little underwhelming.
Can't wait to find out where Niko is from. I do hope that we see some gameplay sometime soon just to see the HUD but I can't wait for the game to get dropped, looks fun as hell.

talk all you want about character models and crap graphics, but THAT'S GTA: weird flailing claw-hands.. the explosions and detailing overall look great, but zoomed in they look odd, like towards the beginning when it shows zoom in of the cardoor and passenger window, like the metal is stone or soemthing, gritty looking and not smooth like car metal..
once i get my 360, i will buy this game. i still play San Andreas just to drive around listening to custom soundtrack. haven't played the story in over a year though. haha.
game looks to be able to entertain me. for what i use GTA for, anyway.
Game of the year, 2008. And to those saying that it's taking itself too seriously, how do you know? I saw hints of humor. Especially at the end. I'm sure as hell that they'll not get rid of the funny radio stations.
And what's wrong with a little more seriousness? What sandbox game has that? If anyone says Saint's Row, I'll hit them in the teeth with a fucking spoon. That's a perfect example of a game that tried hard to be funny
Derivative story, unimpressive graphics and samey seeming gameplay. They've released GTA3 6 times in the past 6 years. Can we have something remotely fresh for a change, maybe?
Just so I'm not being a total hater, that one explosion was pretty kickass looking.
Also, to everyone bitching about the lack of humor in this trailer, tell me ONE GTA trailer that was funny? But then when you got the game and started playing it, the game was hilarious. This will not be any different.
I actually think this is the funniest GTA trailer to date
and for those worried about the humor being gone, it's still there. you see it a little when there's that party at the crib, dude's hiding in the trash, and at the end. you also see it plastered all over the billboards and stuff. the story WILL be serious (and, from what it look, much much better), but the humor won't be gone.
Graphics look pretty good. Faces look decent. Models okay. Animation... still the same crap, stiff movement you see in the other GTA games. Won't notice it when one's playing, but damn, someone should get some proper animators into Rockstar's offices and have them take charge.

It looks good but I know the same thing will happen to me with every GTA game I get:
I'll buy it, play for a week, and never play it again.
What happened? It looked like it was going to be different?
In the future, please place footage in your trailers that makes the game look finished and polished. Thank you.
Warm regards,

but it looks pretty, but don't most trailers look good?
But, i'm fucking excited.

The city looks really nice in cutscenes.
Looks good to me though

"OK, then why not tag this story properly?"
Jesus, man. Chill the fuck out. No need to act like a little bitch. No need at all.

Does that mean licensed vehicles this time around??
