Back when The Last Remnant was new and mysterious, there was a lot of talk about how the game was developed with universal appeal. There was your typical Japanese RPG-looking hero, but there was also muscular gruff badasses to appeal to the meatheaded Americans. Silly, huh?
I find it funny that this GameTrailers-exclusive trailer for The Last Remnant -- which is obviously also an Xbox 360 commercial -- only really highlights the white dudes and gals. There's three western-looking blondes to be shown off. Oh, and that four-armed cat guy, but he doesn't count. No in-battle footage either. Talk about a targeted ad!
What are we supposed to get from this trailer? That there's swords and blondes and guitars? Oh, and that the Xbox 360 is only $199 now?

Dammit all! Now I have to go spend more money on games. November has been so freaking hard on my wallet when it comes to games and I still have to buy Chrono Trigger DS and Prince of Persia.
I swear, if this game sucks as bad as Infinite Undiscovery, I do not know if I can forgive Squeenix. Surely someone must have played it by now, so please tell me: Is it any good? Am I going to have to wait until Star Ocean for another good Square RPG? I could have sworn that 'good' was the only kind of RPG they made...
I found that kinda harsh. I thought they'd give this a higher score simply because Se made it, so far that's the only full review up when I checked game rankings this morning.

Is there a problem with them trying to appeal to Americans? My only beef is that they "think" they will garner more Western sales by featuring blondes and meatheads. I don't know anybody who would get a game simply because of that. That said, the effeminate protagonists often seen in jrpgs are fucking annoying.
The music in this trailer...plus the music in the gameplay videos yesterday would be way cooler if every heavy metal guitar riff from Japan didn't have a techno beat behind it... but I guess that's just personal taste.

they should change the games tagline to "FOR THE WORLD" to "for everyone in the world with a 360"
