The King is all bout dat paper, son photo

In a blow to quality in just about everything, the Burger King games (as a whole) have officially gone double platinum -- meaning they've sold over 2 million copies combined. Released just a month ago, these promotional titles have sparked some kind of phenomenon ... maybe.

Russ Klein, president of global marketing at Burger King, said in a statement, "Most video games are considered a blockbuster when they reach the 1 million mark in sales, and this collection has achieved twice that, thanks in part to the great value for the money and convenient holiday stocking stuffer appeal."

To be fair, these games were insanely cheap and BK promoted the hell out of them. It was pretty much a lock that these things would end up so successful.

Are you allowed to say that a set of three games together have gone double platinum? Doesn't that mean that none of them have even gone single platinum? (Unless, of course, people are doing what's best and staying away from Pocketbike Racer...)

Still, I'm totally happy with Big Bumpin' for $5, and I would not be angry to hear it went platinum.

I haven't played them myself, but the price is right that if I had a 360 Id probably get one, even if the fun factor wore off after a day.

I highly doubt they'd go platinum if they placed them at regular full VG price that usually comes out. I also don't think this is anything spectacular since they are so cheap and it won't take too long for the gameplay to become repetitive. Which is perfect for the pricing it's been given.

In the PAST 50 years. Not to say corporation marketing schemes started exactly 50 years ago. But you have to admit. It's really hard to hold a straight face for 5 seconds when looking at him. Jus that awesome.

I jut bought all 3 on Sunday. I was in line at BK partly because I wanted to get the games and everyone in front of me got all 3 also. The kid at the counter was pushing them and you could see that some ppl had come just for the games.

I know they’re $3.99 each with the purchase of a value meal, but can you buy the games alone without buying the artery-clogging goodness that is the Tendercrisp Sandwich?

Not sure if anyone said this AND not to diss the games but it is 2 million copies of ALL three. So it isn't like one game sold 2 million.

I probably see the Sneak King selling the most...next the pocket racers only cause I have 0 clue what the third one is.
