I agree that no one cares about other peoples meaningless achievements, but these videos just crap, who cares why not try to talk about something more important instead of 12 year old's that annoy you.

Still... I think it's not so much the accomplishment, but how you present the accomplishment. Beating a difficult game IS an accomplishment and some people simply want to share in their joy... those that use the accomplishment or acquired skill to claim they are "better" than someone else - well, that just doesn't work out in any aspect of life.

Awesome video Jim, though I have to say I think everyone who plays video games is guilty of that to some extent. I mean yes, it is rather annoying to know that one person who thinks their shit doesn't stink when just because they are great at Super Smash Bros., but I think we are all guilty of it to an extent. I know I was when I was younger (and still kind of am sometimes, though that's mostly when my cousin plays Call of Duty), and I think a lot of us were too.
There's no denying that there are idiots that are like you describe in the video, but I don't think it's fair to associate the people who can do speed runs and are really good at Demon's Souls to people who think they're "hardcore" because they play the newest flavor of the month, and think games with color are "gay". But hey that's just me.

Anyway, I don't find myself really ever bragging much on my gaming skills unless someone starts complaining that a game is too hard - which is a rarity these days anyway - and that subsequently the game sucks and the developers suck.
That's when I might give them a little scolding because they really need to grow some balls and stop blaming the game for their horrible abilities.

There doesn't seem to be any reason for this episode to exist; at least on previous Jumquisitions you raised a good point about the industry or gamers; here you just come across as whining for the sake of it...
