I think the topic of whether different versions of the same game ought to get different reviews is a potentially worthwhile one. Obviously, Black Ops on the 360 and Black Ops on the DS are different enough to warrant separate discussions, but what about 360 vs. Wii (where graphics and online functionality most likely take a hit), 360 vs. PC (where online functionality definitely took a hit), 360 vs. PS3 (where there are probably few discernible differences)? Where do you draw the line?

Do you think THQ is right when they say the industry should lower the game prices to $40 instead of $60?
Is it ok for a game developer to release an unfinished game (in terms of broken online and bugs) like Black Ops, in order to meet the launch date, if they manage to make a patch within the week of release? Or should they have a short delay (like GT5)?

Deadly Premonition is so many things to so many people. To me it was like seeing Twin Peaks all over again. Do you think Deadly Premonition was basically trying to finish the story of Twin Peaks? If so, do you think they did a good job?
What's your pick for best new IP this year? My favorite has been Darksiders, with metro 2033 coming in a close second. I have Enslaved waiting for me at home, and I'll be picking up Maijin and the forsaken kingdom because I want to support the $40 price tag. Alan wake was also supposed to be really good.

Really!? Do people identify with games that much that comprehensibly goes out the window? The review makes perfect sense, why review something again when it's the company's responsibility to have a working game out. If he gets it, it doesn't work how is it his fault?
