cute Jimquisition... but yeah, none of those things matter at all to me. Cross game voice chat - that would make me feel better... I mean while they're in there playing around with the servers why not incorporate voice chat for when we buy those games like Section 8 that have sucky servers and voice chat that's so bad that it's basically not even there at all. At least then, ALL of our online games would actually have voice chat.
The video player that The Escapist uses is incompatible with iPhone (at least). Not just embed, but also when you go to their site. You get a blank space.
The Jimquisition really does save lives, I'd go so far to say that it raises the dead. Sony should take note and give us Medievil 3.

They can make it up to customers byhacking other people's peronsal inforcmation (like Xbox users) and giving it to Sony customers to do with as it pleases.
But I think the details of Jack Thompson, Bobby Kotick and Michael Pachter would suffice.
But more realistically. They can put some drugs in every game case so that gamers can inject/smoke whatever themselves silly and enhance the gaming experience.
Or they start putting weapons with the Sony brand name on them, like knuckle dusters, and giving them to all they're customers for free.

Seriously, 100% on the money about the firmware stuff. The waiting times on the PS3 are beyond a joke. Which makes me sad because I used to just be "used to it" but now I can't imagine waiting that long.

I think you should prepare yourself to turbo-unforgive them because you're dealing with dinosaurs and the one thing they know is firmware updates. It doesn't even matter if they work. That's what they know and likely what they will stick to.

1. I never played Tomba, but once I finally get a job I'm going to hunt down both games like there's no tomorrow (along with a new PS1 Slim!)
2. Nice shades Jim! Those new glasses, combined with your suit make you look like a pimp! All you need now is a matching hat with a feather in it, a cane with a fist flipping the bird on it, and a strong pimp hand adored with many rings.

I want a new MediEvil, and I think they could have Move support and it wouldn't suck.
As far as FW updates go, I don't mind doing them if they add a feature that I or someone else will actually use. So, keep those coming (and ideally make them optional), but stop with the "stability" updates with absolutely nothing else for the end-user added.

I think the months PS Plus can work. They said PSN won't be back ti'll May 31st and the Uncharted 3 beta comes out June where you can get access to it with PS PLus
Ok Jim, You are now mostly forgiven for your past bias on the basis that you named my all time fav game Tomba.....Tomba! and Tomba 2 NEED to be on the psn. IMO Tomba was sonys mario shame they went with that stupid bandicoot that ended up going multiplatform.
There are a lot of reasons I rarely turn my PS3 on, but the one that annoys me the most is the firmware updates. Every time I actually want to use the damn thing I have to wait at least half an hour before I can. No new features, just a long wait before I can use the console. And all this just to stop hackers? That did a lot of good. I thought PC DRM was bad, but at least with securom I don't have to wait 30 minutes every time I want to play a game.
Honestly? Stop taking shit from Nintendo. And just bring back PSN with more security. That's pretty much all I'd need.

This is the longest us PS3 owners have gone without a firmware update. I'm starting to get the shakes. I need my green bar fix.

We now live in the time of updates, Jim. If not a full firmware update, we have game updates, but yes the PS3 has a real suck ass way around it, takes forever (MAG updates used to last as long weekends) for the simplest update sometimes.
In a positive way though, this PSN outage has let me experience some good single player games. Also, I have discovered there is actually life outside of online gaming. I got to see family and friends again, who apparently live either in the same house as me or close by. I was astonished and amazed to actually interact with people other than by headset or text. It takes a bit of getting used to again, but you know what they say, once you ride a bicycle you never forget.
