This video has moved! Try our new Destructoid HD video section

One word describes the above video for Left 4 Dead – intense. The footage is taken directly from the game’s introduction sequence and easily gives viewers insight into the relationship between the survivors as well as the might of L4D’s zombie villains. It also shows off a particularly mammoth zombie aptly named The Tank.

The intensity of the video should directly correlate to the action of the game. When Nick touched the game way back at E3 he freely admitted to panicking upon being left alone as he was swarmed by the fast moving undead in the game. Qais described a scenario in which he was firing blindly in a rush to both get away and exact punishment on the zombies wishing to claw him to bits.

What do you guys think? Does this sell you on the style and action of the game? I was excited before, but now this has moved into must-have territory for me.

@unangbangkay

Nice.

@Brad

This wasn't in Must-Have territory before? What's wrong with you? It should have been there before you could say "Valve".

And I wish I hadn't seen the video yet. But man, was it f'n awesome. Although the I expected better facial animations (seeing as Valve are still the best in the business when it comes to face animations, hands down)

is it just me or would I rather watch that beautiful in game cutscene than play the game? I mean it was very well done.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! I have no words. My only question is if the it is just going to be a shooter, just a mindless (although awesome) shooter. Or if there is going to be some sort of story involved with it.
