I was going to say that it's a shame that The House of the Dead: Overkill is trying to  promote itself as gamers gear up for the release of Valve's Left 4 Dead, but the spoof grindhouse marketing for Sega's Wii shooter has been so excellent that it's managed to remain memorable regardless.

This latest trailer, talking about a hospital, is full of corny one-liners and the kind of awesomely awful material we've come to expect from this game. I want to play it based simply on how brilliant the marketing as been. Good call, whoever came up with this.

it's safe to say that in the trailer department, house of dead is about a shit-ton cooler than left 4 dead. this is how a horror game should be done (also goes for movies).

and they somehow managed to outdo themselves with this last trailer. the previous grindhousey one was cool. (even goddamn cool, i might say). but this one left me with my jaw hanging open.

Yeah, the marketing for this game from the get go has been brilliant. Sometimes it pays to not take yourself seriously at all and to know EXACTLY who you want to market your game to. Bravo.

Wow the new trailer looks really good. Can't wait for this game to come out in February which really isn't all that long of a wait. People give Sega a lot of crap, but lately they're really stepping up their game on the Wii.

They now have HOTD: OverKill, MadWorld, and the Conduit all coming out on the Wii in early 2009. That's an awesome trio of hardcore games to come out from just one Publisher on any system. At alone the Wii!

As much as I'm looking forward to the fast paced action in L4D, I do have a soft spot for the old school shambling zombies. <3!

The jab "The hardcore you've been waiting for" was pretty well placed I think. Maybe Reggie could show up as a zombie.

This game looks AWESOME. Back in the day, SEGA had some serious light gun action happening.

What a strange world we live in where Sega is making a Nintendo system attractive to own (which I already do).

So awesome.

Even if this game is given terrible reviews I'm buying it. Whoever thought of bringing this out is a bloody genius and has made alot of hardcore gamers with Wiis very very happy.
