The holidays begin: Nintendo confirms Zelda and Nintendogs DS bundles photo

No holiday would be complete without the Master of Hardware Bundles, Nintendo, producing one of their consoles in a fancy color and packaging it with a popular game. Starting on November 23, two special-edition Nintendo DS bundles will be available at retail.

The Gold edition DS bears the Triforce symbol, and not surprisingly comes with The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. The pink DS -- what Nintendo are calling "Metallic Rose" -- comes with Nintendogs Best Friend edition, and has a cute little pink paw print on it. Part of me is saying "Awwww," and the other part is just shocked that people of any age still want to play Nintendogs.

The likely-impossible to get bundles will retail for $149.99, and are shoo-ins for hottest gifts of the season. But seriously ... people are still playing Nintendogs?

Wow, good bundles but isn't the Nintendogs party over (just like Nick said)? Where's the Pokemon bundle?

I'd think they'd start cranking out more of that Brain Age bundle. Or anything but Nintendogs.

It'd be interesting to see if they'd actually put out one of those FF bundles that Japan gets all the time.

That actually looks pretty cool, if I were to get a DS, I'd get the Zelda bundle.

I think the pawprint and triforce are tacky. Or, at least their placement is. Personally, I'd like if rather than convex DS logo, the triforce or pawprint took their place, then it'd really make the limited editions worth it.

oh, and Nintendogs is awesome. ;p
I bought my DS just for that game. I haven't played it in awhile, but it's still cute and fun.
