Duke Nukem 3D, that is. The latest promotional video for Duke Nukem Forever continues with the second part of a behind-the-scenes retrospective on the Duke Nukem franchise and deals almost exclusively with the hero's first foray into the first-person.

Lots of great stuff in here, as they talk with folks like Randy Pitchford and voice actor Jon St. John who reminisce about the development and success of the title. Worth a watch, for certain.

Ah I remember when I was in Grade 7.

As I've said, the only reason this game is not a joke is because Gearbox took over. They give it a respectability it couldn't have had with just 3D Realms after so long.

I would have had it pre-ordered either way of course.

I can't wait for this. Some of my best gaming memories revolve around the duke and LAN parties.

Plus you get to throw turds at aliens, can't be bad right?

I'm sure everyone will enjoy this game at the very least, on some level.

@ Fistynuts:

All of the enemies in Duke3D were 2D sprites. None of them were made out of polygons.

That was interesting, but I'm more interested in hearing an account of what the hell happened for 12 fucking years at 3D Realms.
