The Hero Trap lets you play as a berserk luchador bear

5:45 PM on 03.14.2014

"Lightning fast dungeon crawler" may seem like an oxymoron, but the trailer above for The Hero Trap shows what it means by that: frenetic action gameplay within an ever-changing combination of dungeon arenas.

To be honest, I was ready to write this one off, but the unique set of characters is what hooked me. Rather than the tired old fantasy archetypes of knight, archer, mage, and the like, The Hero Trap boasts unique heroes like a flamethrower-wielding pyro or a bear wearing a luchador mask.

The Hero Trap is currently running a Kickstarter campaign, with a funding goal of only $25,000. It has plans to release on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.
