Also, if theres no elites theres no real reason to have plasma weapons. The only thing theyre good for is taking out shields.

i think the brutes are going to be more prevelant in 3 than the elites will be because of what was going on in 2 with the whole elites not doing theyre jobs and the brutes taking over.that was really cool the mo-cap stuff and they way the brutes worked together...bungie as usual has there act together.
It's just something that I strongly dislike about the whole sci-fi genre, whatever its star wars, star track, Metroid or apparently Halo, the bad guys are always humanoids with some animalistic features added on, either that or they giant bugs. That makes the whole genre a bit silly to me.
