I was really pissed when this became a retail instead of a download but I think the price tag alone makes up for that. Hopefully more Kinect games go this route, being 30 pounds and affordable.
Buy a Bastion code and get The Maw free, buy this and get Fruit Ninja Kinect, but buy all on the XBLM and get Crimson Alliance...

I prefer online passes to day one DLC. I only buy new games and online passes doesn't take up space on the HDD unlike DLC. I wish they'd just put it on the disc. Couldn't care less about Fruit Ninja.

Gunstringer got amazing previews and praise from people who tried it out during E3(apparently game is even better than Child of Eden in terms of controls).
considering the price and all the bonuses it's day one for me. that's how you do "an online pass" - you give free stuff, not dumb down your game.

This is... stupid. So they throw Fruit Ninja Kinect into the summer of arcade lineup, a lineup that you have to buy all of to get the free game, which hard core gamers with Kinect will probably do. Those not buying the SOA games, well the Kinect release list is pretty slim pickings, but this actually looks fun, so who wouldn't pick it up for $10. Basically, I'd expect many with a Kinect to get Fruit Ninja when it's released........... So then as some sort of intensive you release the very next Kinect game, which obviously isn't a full retail release and you feel guilty about it, you bundle in Fruit Ninja. HUH, I really don't get it. Let me paint the use cases I have in my head, someone help me understand:

> You have a Kinect, didn't get Fruit Ninja on release. You'd maybe buy Gunstringer, but given you didn't even know Fruit Ninja was already available you may not even use your Kinect enough to care.

You butcher the release sales numbers, the Fruit Ninja guys make less money and by the time you get a copy of Fruit Ninja everyone would have played it at a party and has already moved onto Dance Central 2 or something.

The ONLY thing I can come up with is that MS Studios is publishing FN so I'd assume the devs got paid a nice chunk for making it free with another title.
Same way that chAIR probably got a nice check when MS gave out Undertow.

Wow, that makes a ton of sense but if that's the case, it really does throw into question the value of Gunstringer even within the devs eyes. Too bad, I'm a recent Kinect convert but now I have to wait for Gunstringer to go on sale/discount because otherwise it'll feel like I'm overpaying (I plan on buying all of the SOA games).

you guys do understand that Gunstringer gone retail because there was already too much content, right? more over Twisted Pixel guys said themselves that going to retail allowed them to add additional content and further polish the game. so instead of paying 30-45$ for Gunstringer episodic game, you're getting full Gunstringer game, 10$ Fruit Ninja and additional 5-10$ DLC for 40$ - how is that a rip-off?!
