I have a friend who is a genius at Sonic the Hedgehog. She played it religiously in college, but even today can sit down, load it up on my Virtual Console, and still remember where every single jump and power-up is in the game. If there is ever a sequel to The Wizard, I think I have a candidate for the main character. She’s so bad.

It was Sega's way of saying that the Genesis could process and calculate faster than the SNES. Sonic is faster than Mario in an 16-bit world after all.

I actually finally beat this game for the first time a couple months ago. If you didn't play any other Genesis games you'd almost swear the sound chip was comparable to that of the SNES. Sadly, not many others were able to work the Genesis sound hardware as masterfully.
