Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

The quality is crap because I know nothing about compressing video (or shooting it, for that matter), but hopefully you can make out what's going on.

For those of you too lazy to click, The Godfather: Blackhand Edition (aka Godfather Wii) has implemented a bunch of gestures that work surprisingly well in the game, including throws, headbutts, and bitchslaps.

I was gonna do a video detailing all of them, but the developers did that a few months back. Still, though, I couldn't resist showing you the coolest gesture in the game: the "Is Wayne Brady Gonna Have to Choke a Bitch" stranglehold. The manuever easier to do in real life than it looks in the video (I was crouched over the camera at a weird angle), and it's insanely satisfying to do.

If you haven't played The Godfather and you have a Wii, buy Blackhand Edition. Now. If you already have played The Godfather, it's at least worth a rental to see just how well the gestures are implemented. Frankly, Blackhand is my new favorite game for the Wii.

If I had a Wii, I would run out and by this game immediately. That's right, I'm willing to pay $50 to choke a bitch.

An Oscar worthy performance.

Is the actual game any good though?

Personally, I really enjoy it -- but then, I liked the game even when it was on the PS2. It's got everything good about previous Godfather iterations, except with really, really cool Wiimote implementation. As the video shows, the Wii sometimes has problems recognizing the gestures, but it doesn't happen as often as you'd think.

Some words ran together, and I read "including throws, and buttslaps."

I was excited.

The Rev isn't lying. This is by far my favorite game on the Wii, I could possibly go to say my favorite game this generation. Although, it is more appealing to me being that I have a sadistic side. Breaking someones leg with a baseball bat then shooting them in the back of the head..yeah..we have all had that fantasy! =p

Yes, choking, slapping, beating with a shovel! Its all there and you know what... it is really satisfying!! I just wish there was more power in that little white box. Oh man rev is right though, its dope. And the city is much bigger than I thought it would be.

I assume this is much better than Zelda's crappy tacked on controls, yes?

I got pissed when I played Zelda on the Wii kiosk and bought the GameCube version instead. This seems more intuitive, however.

Why do the bitches have to be choked? I'd rather pet a kitty. Then set it on fire.

I think Nintendo has officially shed its kiddie image. Sure beats pummelling a hooker to death by jamming on a button.

What aim system do you use with Godfather for the Wii? Personally I use the free aim system set to maximum sensitivity. I find it easy to use and accurate enough for leg shoulder or head shots. After reading all the reviews I was surprised all the game reviewers had trouble with the Free Aim Mode. Most of the review sites recommended using the Lock-on system. So do all the people you know that play a Wii have trouble using the Free Aim mode or FPS controls in games like Red Steel? Do you think the majority of Wii owners have trouble using the IR aiming system on the Wii? Or do you think it is just the reviewers at these sites?
