Remember Fur Fighters? The PS2/Dreamcast classic was never successful, but did enjoy a lot of critical praise when it released in 2000. The chaps who made it haven't let go, with former Bizarre Creations staff -- now working as Muffin Games -- reworking the cutesy shooter for your iPad.

Fur Fighters: Viggo on Glass is available on iTunes right now for $1.99. At that price, and with the iPad's pre-built audience, maybe it'll have a chance at success this time.

I played the updated PS2 version a long time ago, and I must say, I thought it was pretty dire. Maybe the years have been kind to it, who knows? Did any of you guys enjoy it?

Cult of the Wind might just be the funniest arena shooter

A third-person shooter in which combatants are humans pretending to be airplanes -- this is Cult of the Wind. Despite the usual fears that something like this will lose its audience not long after launching, I'm so charmed b...more
