The Forced Unleashed 'Jedi Temple' DLC price slashed photo

Microsoft’s latest Deal of the Week is stellar. People who missed the first batch of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed downloadable content can now download the “Jedi Temple Mission Pack” for 400 Microsoft Banana Dollars instead of the usual 800 Microsoft Banana Dollars price. According to Major Nelson’s math, that’s a fifty percent savings on the fictional space content. See? Stellar.

The “Jedi Temple Mission Pack” features the mysterious Sith apprentice. The dashing lad is looking for information about his father in the destroyed Jedi temple. According to the official blurb, the secret apprentice is forced to confront “his inner demons.” Oh, Star Wars.

This DLC debuted in December 2008 and we’re guessing if you enjoyed the The Force Unleashed, you probably already purchased this thing. If you did, give us the low-down. Is it worth the reduced price?

I thought it was worth it. Pretty fun... if you still own TFU and haven't traded it in. I still own mine because it's just so fun every once in a while! Total stress killer.

Had a bad day? Whip out ol' Galen Marek and beat the shit out of a few AT-ST's.

it was worth 600 in all honesty for what you go. but as I found out ages ago. microsoft only have 400, 800, and 1200 for prices and obviously the content when new was a bit more than 400, but not worth 800. shame really.

But yeah if you missed out 400 points is bang on for this.

Ehh, traded it back in through Goozex a while ago. Thumbs up on the Deal of the Week stuff overall, though. I probably never would have gotten BC: Rearmed or Ikaruga if they weren't on sale.

I wish there were separate deals for DLC and standalone games each week, but I guess that's asking for too much.

Definitely worth 400 Points... its terribly short though, less than 20 minutes on normal difficulty.

Would maybe consider spending the spare money for this on my PSN account if it does the same on PS3.

Gah, I wish it was on sale for on PSN... I freaking loved this game, but after 6 months, all DLC needs to severely drop in price.

I'd buy all current SW:tFU DLC in one pack for $10... or maybe when the upcoming DLC, I'd pay $15 for the two mission and two skin packs.

I really hope the PSN copies this.

LIVE's doing well on these sales. I also would not own BC: Rearmed or N+ if it wasn't for the recent sales. Buy it if you own the game, it's a welcome addition. You get the Temple pack, which is a separate campaign option (you can't use your previously attained powers/crystals), as well as a small pack of alternate costumes, which adds similar ones available in the actual costume packs. Those packs are not, however, worth your money, unless you really want to jump around as Mace Windu or Jango Fett.

How about PSN?
I can stand that useless piece of blu-ray with a fugly yellow side bar for months, but i did have a good time with it, and would love to have some reason to bring this up.

I hate how these deals are Gold only. I am a Silver member because I don't play multiplayer games... never liked them, never will... but most of these deals are on single-player content. I saw the title and got excited, as this is a DLC I have often almost bought... but I am not allowed to enjoy the sale, so... screw off Microsoft, I guess.

Same thing with demos... single-player game demos like Ghostbusters are restricted for Silver members for a week, even though they have nothing to do with playing online games, which is what paying for Gold is about.

MS can't honestly expect me to pay $50 a year for these petty bonuses, and obviously I don't want online multiplayer or I would be Gold already, so it just feels like punishment more than anything. It really ticks me off.
