The Avengers are storming the box office this weekend but they'll soon be bringing the fight to the pinball arena in the new "Avengers Chronicles" pack of tables for Pinball FX2 and Zen Pinball 2. In the above video, we're treated to the first look at the main event, the table based on the Avengers: Assemble motion picture.

The table features special balls representing each of the members of the superhero team and missions which must be accomplished using them. It also features a bad ass drawing of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. What can I say? I appreciate the finer things in life.

Actually, I've been sucked back into playing Pinball FX2 in recent days and just last night put up a score I'm pretty proud of on the Captain America table, so I can't wait to get my hands on the new four-pack.

Sweet, I really liked the Marvel Pinball tables, specially the Blade one, so I'll definitely get this.

Hopefully the Marvel Pinball for 3DS brings this table, at least as DLC, I would love having this on the go.

Just got out of The Avengers movie.

It was great, right up there with The Dark Knight. Maybe better if you're a Marvel fan, but I'm a DC fan so its almost as good. :P

Cant wait for this, a lot of newjack bandwagon hoppers have recently decided they love Pinball. Most of these folks have taken it upon themselves to declare The Pinball Arcade as gospel great and Pinball FX shit.

As they are both fantastic, and Pinball FX the best selling game on XBLA, these people are clearly talking out their backsides.

@Sir @Phil @Enter: At least two real Pinball machines get made every year. The chance of Stern Pinball putting out The Avengers is very high.
The last Pinball machine released was AC/DC a couple of months ago, the average price for brand new machines is 4/5 grand.

Aghh, don't mention the fucking Captain America table...I had what I thought was a good score until a friend of mine hammered it by about a hundred million or so, the son of a bitch.

I'm still looking forward to the new tables, though. Oh, and @Phil - I went to see the film when it was released over here a week or so ago and I fucking loved it. The final massive set piece was total childhood wish fulfilment and had me grinning from ear to ear. Just awesome.
