This is it, folks: the final trailer for Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV. After this there is only waiting to look forward to until the game hits shelves on April 29.
What do I think, you ask? Well, I think it looks great. I love the scope of all the action. I love the voice acting. I love the polish. I love the rain. Most importantly, though, I love the way it all feels like GTA, just a lot shinier.
But my humble opinion doesn’t matter. What do you all think? Are you more excited than ever? Is this enough of a final tease to get you through this last agonizing month?

Awesome trailer! I never was too excited for this game, but since it's practically the only big release relatively soon I'm starting to gain more and more interest.
I'm not a big GTA fan, but it looks good enough to interest me, which is saying something. This may eventually end up in my collection, especially if the online play is good.
I was particularly excited by the magic show (wondering if this is another one of the things you can 'experience', along with the comedy clubs). Also, just from watching these trailers, Niko comes across as such a well-rounded character. Goodness me, that trailer had class and flair. I'm just looking forward to occupying that world, exploring it, and, I'm sure, being endlessly surprised by what I find.
I've never really gotten into the GTA games, but this one has really peaked my intrest with the more serious route it looks like they are taking. I'm anxious to try it out.
I was going to buy this regardless, but after watching this I just suspect so many games are going to look like amateur efforts or tech demos in comparison.
God it looks so good. Yeah, what are you guys talking about that IS in game. Alot of it probably IS gameplay just shot from dramatic angles. You know I came when the Euphoria ragdoll was kicking in at the roll down the stars and explosion bit. I like how this is the "final trailer" and the game isn't coming out for another month pretty much. I've never been so excited about a GTA title in awhile and it feels really good. I remember playing the original on a PC Gamer demo CD back in the day and thinking how awesome and fun it was. Samething with GTA2. But nothing would prepare me for GTA3, and I think that's the same feeling that I'm channeling now. Sure, Vice City was a bit fun for me but it didn't last long and San Andreas I hardly even played because honestly those games were nothing but expansion packs. THIS is a TRUE sequel and it looks and sounds absolutely amazing. All I really want now is more footage of multiplayer, I just can't fathom how amazing it will be. I mean a duck & cover system, vehicles, massive areas to roam around in. ALL within the glory of the Euphoria engine. I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty excited.
Also, has there been any talks about a HUD? I wonder if they're gonna try to do the whole hidden HUD thing, considering that's building up to be a larger fad.
I'm all for an understated HUD as I think this would be in keeping with the way GTA IV's graphical style/art direction appears to be somewhere between realism and heightened reality.
From what I have heard it is a very simple black and white HUD, part of which will disappear after a few moments after you pick your weapon. And then it will reappear when you need it. Much like how it is in COD4.
That's not actual gameplay footage. It's not what you control or rather if you do. You're controlling the game in cinematic view. What everyone wants is to finally see a shot of the charcter as you control him running down the street. Which rockstar is yet to show.
Look i'm controlling this running down the block. It's my POV in the game. That's what people mean when they say they wanna see gameplay footage of GTAIV. Yeah of course the source material in these trailers is taken from the gameplay engine. Who makes FMV cutscenes anymore? But we wanna see what we actually control.
I say that Rockstar still knows how to make a trailer to generate hype. If I can get through my gaming pile in time I'm pretty sure I'll pick this up. :)
I really hope the storyline plays out as theatrically as all the trailers do. They could make a movie using this game's engine and characters and stuff and I'd likely pay money to see it.
As a person who has hated every GTA game since the first one, holy fuck this game looks good. As a few others have said though, now we see if the game can live up to the trailers.
The frame rate still seems rough in some spots, but I hope that's just the video.
PROTIP: When you embed vids like this it won't play for people who aren't registered at their site because you have to do an age verification so this won't play for people such as myself who can't be bothered to register and then you have actually go to the site and that is annoying.

But damn it looks amazing.
I loved when the guy fell down the stairs realistically.
I meant, the uhm, what's that called..the Mini map and everything on the screen.
Unrelated but amazing: http://modblog.bmezine.com/2008/03/24/what-is-it-with-unicorns/
either way me likey!
Anyway, Chee does bring up a good point. None of the screens have shown that interface yet either.
OK not really, but it's gonna be fucking amazing.
Shoot, that site is blocked for me here! Checking later ... :)
Looking forward to it.
And the ragdoll looks so awesome, when that dude is being shot down the stairs! Hahaha
Oh shit this looks awesome. Going to go pre-order this ASAP!
Yeah. Totally have that feeling again.
The frame rate still seems rough in some spots, but I hope that's just the video.
Since I'll be (hopefully) picking up the MGS4 bundle, I'll most likely get this for the PS3.
But it looks fantastic.
