The Far Cry 4 devs toned it down for part two of their Himalayan excursion

12:45 PM on 07.31.2014

As indicated by part one of the video series chronicling the Far Cry 4 developers' trip to the Himalayan region, they seemingly rushed off to watch an animal sacrifice nearly as soon as their plane touched down. The second part is a bit more reserved, if you consider riding on top of buses that are likely to careen off the road to be a step back.

Fascinating cultural differences and dangerous feats aside, it's interesting to watch the developers comment on aspects of the area, and how they're going to incorporate them into Far Cry 4. Make sure to keep an eye out for the "Little Old Lady Using a Step to Sharpen Her Blade" side mission.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes made in Far Cry 4 is a work of art

We already knew that Far Cry 4's level editor was an open invitation for masterpieces to be made. That much was evident after this goat butt stabbing video surfaced. But, some people are making more serious playgrounds. One ...more

Far Cry 4 almost made me vomit at one point

Far Cry 4 is a lot of fun, but it can leave you feeling pretty sick to your stomach at times. I distinctly remember happening on a family of monkeys in the Himalayan foothills. Pulling out my camera, I marveled at their...more

I like Far Cry 4's map editor because it leads to goat butt stabbing videos

Imagine a scenario where goats take over and rule supreme. Not good-natured, frolic in the meadow, eat your leafy spruge goats. No, purely evil, human-devouring, straight-up refuse to eat your leafy spurge goats. Pretty...more

Far Cry 4's alternate ending only takes a half hour to access

Alternate endings are a fascinating way to put a non-canonical spin on the tales that we know and love. Sometimes it's a silly and light-hearted Pentagon piefight. Others are grim, like Dante taking a bullet to the chest on ...more

Hey, it's the first hour of Far Cry 4!

Far Cry 4 is a game I've been looking forward to since ages ago -- and now, it's finally something I can play. Poorly. Here you go, watch us flounder. Go on, we're a mess.more

Review: Far Cry 4

Far Cry 3 was one of my favorite games of 2012. It didn't stray too far from the normal sandbox conventions set before it, but gallivanting around beautiful island vistas and flying about with wingsuits was pretty damn fun. For some that wasn't enough, though, and for those folks, Far Cry 4 won't be enough either. But for me, it's still pretty damn fun.more

Review: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare: Havoc

Call of Duty map packs are definitely a mixed bag. Fifteen dollars is pricey by any standards, and the prospect of one or two remade maps and a grand total of four arenas isn't anything to get excited about. Advanced Warfare's new Havoc DLC has just arrived this week on Xbox platforms, and it's par for the course in terms of what you'd expect. As usual though, zombies save the day.more

Review: Dying Light

As you may have heard, we got our Dying Light review code pretty late. As in, the day before launch. A late show doesn't necessarily instill confidence in a project, especially since a lot of fans had no idea what to expect from Techland's latest. It's strange that this situation even happened considering Dying Light is one of Techland's best games outside of Call of Juarez: Gunslinger.more
