The end is near: Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? announced for XBLA photo

I think it's safe to assume that once the final "Summer of Arcade" game (Castle Crashers) hits Xbox LIVE Arcade, it's straight back to the same filth we're all so fond of. Case in point: THQ has announced that Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is headed for XBLA.

Details are scant for the time being, but you can be sure that Destructoid will keep you up-to-date with any and all Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?-related news as it breaks.

Stay tuned for updates every hour, on the hour.

Jeff Foxworthy looks like he could use an exorcism in that pic.

This could sell really well. Given that half of Xbox Live is in 5th grade, mind you.

Echoing MechaMonkey's sentiment. The Uncanny Valley has never been so unkind.

Why is Jeff Foxworthy staring at me like I'm a 10-year-old piece of meat?

I don't know, I like 'Are You Smarter' so I think with a decent set of questions it could be alright.

£20 says its a straight port of the version on Steam though.

My 5th grader rejoices. Is this going to be one of the new prime time distractions versus the multitudes or just a XBLA game?

I might pick this up, if only to show up EVERYONE on the show.
They pick some pretty stupid people to go on.

Though some of the questions are pretty bullshit and way too specific and irrelevant. I'm looking at you random "what is this historical figures middle or first name" questions.

The real title should be, "Do you remember some useless trivial shit you took one test on in 5th grade?"

The only circumstance under which I would play Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader is if I have a chance to win a million dollars.

Easy way to determine if you are indeed Smarter Than A 5th Grader. Are you thinking about buying this game, or even downloading the demo?

If you answered yes to the above question, then I am sorry to report that you are NOT Smarter Than A 5th Grader.

Thanks for playing!!
