The DTOID Show: Max's Twisted Metal Review
One of this week's biggest, and most anticipated releases is Twisted Metal. Jim Sterling's a die-hard fan of the series, and he gave his thoughts on the newest iteration in his review right here. On the other hand, I've never been that crazy about the vehicular man. I remember thinking it was cool when I was a kid, but I was never super-stoked about it. What did I make of it? Watch the video! Also, I didn't get any time with the multiplayer, because Anthony Carboni of New Challenger stole the damn online pass. But that's okay, because he reviewed the game, too. Check that out right here. Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)I was never a huge Twisted Metal fan, but as you, I do respect the franchise for what it is. After all, it did spawn multiple sequels and earned its spot as iconic. I did get a chance to play the demo, and I agree with you. It doesn't look that great, and it takes time for the controls to set in, but if you put that aside, there's a fun game that rewards you with time. I'll probably end up picking it up (mostly because I liked it) play it before you buy it. It caters to hardcore TM fans, but doesn't leave much room for a new audience. Of course, if you have an open mind, check it out. Thanks for the vid, Max! :) Guys the game is dated because it doesn't control like other vehicle games, like need for speed, or forza........son I'm disappointed. Give these cars real physics and you'll take away the whole point of the game, also configure the controls to "RACE" and it'll be far from counter intuitive. Seems kinda silly to review this game if you cant spend a good chunk of time with the MP but I guess the bitchin photoshop job in the header made it worthwhile. Max, you should do more video reviews, they're so entertaining. Great job! And your photoshopped pic is hilarious. haha 11:00 AM on 02.14.2012 Review: Twisted MetalTwisted Metal 2 is one of the greatest videogames to ever grace the original PlayStation, and that's an undeniable scientific fact.
