The DTOID Show: Ground Zeroes, Big Picture Steam, & DOA 5

9:00 PM on 09.10.2012

Uh oh. It's Monday again, looks like we have to do another show about The Destructoids for you.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will have night/day cycles as well as loading screens, and Kojima tweeted out a picture from the TGS demo of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. EA's offering a DLC tie-in for Medal of Honor: Warfighter that has you tracking down Bin Laden and giving money to veterans. Dead Or Alive 5 has you beating the crap out of sexy waitresses, and Bethesda is having a great deal of trouble bringing Skyrim: Dawnguard to Playstation 3. Finally: Steam's "big picture mode" is bringing PC gaming into your living room, if you're into that kind of thing.

We can't see the new Doom yet, but it sounds like a return to form

Bethesda said its big reveal of Doom -- that is in fact "Doom," not "Doom 4" -- at QuakeCon would be for attendees only, not for us Internet ne'er-do-wells, but I still watched the QuakeCon stream like a sucker, anyway. When ...more
