The DTOID Show: GDC 2012 Wrap-up!
Did you catch today's live Destructoid Show? We're all thoroughly exhausted from GDC, but Hamza Aziz, Jordan Devore, and Conrad Zimmerman were good sports and stopped by the studio for some good old-fashioned video game discussion. Today's topics include EA's big reveal of SimCity V, Medal of Honor Warfighter's debut trailer, Doug Lombardi's recent comments on the future of Steam hardware, and Peter Molyneux's sudden departure from Lionhead Studios. Later in the show, we discuss some of our personal highlights from GDC, including Juliet Starling cosplay, Fallout's post-mortem presentation, and finally getting to play Quantum Conundrum! Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)That was a bee-last to watch. I enjoyed it with my eyes, ears, and brain parts. Also Tony Hawk, guys. The part where Tara makes a comment about how "the only good things I saw were in a hotel room" and everyone agrees, but Conrad and Max are the ones who exaggerate their agreement as they interpret it sexually and then they share a look of disgust for everyone else missing it and start laughing while everyone keeps going oblivious to it is hilarious. I can't write a sentence for shit when I'm drunk. 11:00 AM on 06.14.2013 Medal of Honor: Warfighter team no longer existsThe team behind the Medal of Honor series reboot and its ill-fated sequel has been scattered to the wind, EA Labels executive vice president Patrick Söderlund told Eurogamer. “Danger Close as it was doesn&rsqu...

11:00 AM on 10.24.2012 Review: Medal of Honor: WarfighterMedal of Honor: Warfighter is a funny name. Yes, "Warfighter" is a term with a real-life military application, but that doesn't stop it from sounding incredibly silly. It is gratuitously macho, not to mention rather redundant...

For general details, do be sure to check out that preview. Recently though, we got a chance to spend a few hours with the game including new single-player content. Specifically, two whole campaign missions.
3:00 PM on 09.14.2012 Preview: Go global in Medal of Honor: WarfighterWhen EA decided to reboot the Medal of Honor franchise with its 2010 release, it wasn't met with the warmest of receptions. While it certainly wasn't an amazing shooter, I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with it. Soldieri...

I really like rogue-likes. There's something about their uncaring difficulty that appeals to the "HxC" gamer in me. With this in mind I got super-excited to check out Tower of Guns. The game's creator Joe Mirabello described...more View all destructoid originals |
