If you've read literally any review of Borderlands 2 yet (well, except maybe this one), then you already know the game is shaping up to be one of this year's best. An absurdly compelling narrative combined with a host of minor tweaks have made believers out of those who despised the first one, and since I'd planned on flying through the game ANYWAY when it came out, I figured hey - may as well review it. Here's my review!
(SPOILER WARNING: If you're sensitive about spoilers, AVOID 6:15-6:40 as it shows a major boss in the game. It's worth pointing out that I did not edit this video myself, but I did check over it before it was published. Apparently working all day and not eating for 24 hours will cause you to miss some things. I apologize.)
Am I the only one who has problem with the ridiculous 12 slot inventory? Why does a game that promote endless loot limit the inventory and don't offer you a convenient way to fast travel back to town and dump all your junk for money?! not only I can't pick up white items I sometimes need to drop color items in favor of a better one. I love Borderlands 2 but the inventory limitation really sucks.
@fluorine3 There's a guy in Sanctuary who will sell you extra backpack slots in exchange for eridium. It costs more for each slot you buy, but it's worth it in the long run. I was able to find a happy medium between "can't carry shit" and "carry ALL the guns!"
i like that they included the locker to swap between characters. Now I can make mule characters and easily make them hold all the guns I think I might ever possibly want to maybe use with another character at some point in time eventually when i get around to it.
I have a horrible problem with getting rid of items in games like these. I never want to be caught unprepared so I need one of every gun type with each elemental combo for every appropriate level possible. I always try to break the habit but its a vicious stupid cycle.
I don't trust any of these reviews because this guy from hawp worked on this. It seems like everyone is glowingly positive about this game because this guy that used to write for them wrote on the story.
@koeklimas
Other sites are giving it great reviews too....could it just be that the game is actually as good or better than the first?
I just finished the Flynt quest and about 90% of all guns have been pistols. The other 10% has been one shotgun, one rifle, and one smg. But yeah, this starting inventory is a bummer :p
This game looks cool. My favorite part of the game is the guns. I think I am going to get a gun from here http://www.airsplat.com/airsoft-video-games.htm and do a modify to get it to look like what they use in the game.
Funny Easter Egg: when you go on the quest for Patricia Tannis, the pizza one, it is a reference to TMNT! The enemies you encounter are talking like surfer dudes, and all nicknamed like Mick, Dan, Leon... funny thing is, I took QR code of the pizza box and it reads: "Wise man say, forgiveness is divine but never pay full price for late pizza. -Captain Picard

Jordan and I have started a new game in our Couch Campaign, and it's one that I have been excited to play since we first began talking about the project. As a huge fan of the Fallout franchise and a lover of top-down, exploration shoot-em-up games, the pairing of the two could have been glorious. And Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is, provided you think train wrecks can be glorious.more
