The DTOID Show: 2012 in Retrospecticus

Jul 01 // Tara Long

I know what you're thinking. "But Tara, the year's only half over!" Well yes, technically that's true, but it doesn't mean we can't stop and take a moment to gather our thoughts on this year's video game releases, does it?

...Okay fine, you caught me. Max and I were down in Anaheim for VidCon on Friday and this sounded like as good a topic as any for a pre-recorded episode. Untimely delays, massive layoffs, and fan feedback are just a few of the things that can shape the gaming industry without our realizing it.

So today, we take a look back at 2012's most memorable games thus far, before looking forward to see what the rest of the year has to offer us. The results just might surprise you! (But probably not.)
