The Dream Machine

The Dream Machine returns on August 1

5:00 PM on 07.16.2013

I was surprised to realize that it had been over a year since I reviewed the first chapters of The Dream Machine, a charming and unique-looking adventure game from Cockroach Studios. There's been no word on when the last chapters of the game were going to arrive. Well, we now know that Chapter 4 of The Dream Machine will be available on August 1.

The game left protaganist Victor Neff traversing a vivid dreamscape conjured from the minds of his neighbours. There were some really striking sections, including a cruise ship staffed by multiple clones of Victor all with their own personalities. I'm eager to play Chapter 4 and I'm really pleased that instead of 5 chapters, the series has grown to 6 chapters. Considering The Dream Machine is half price in the Steam sale right now for just $8.49/£6.49, I'd say it's well worth the purchase.

Review: Roundabout

For its first game, developer No Goblin seemingly subscribed to the K.I.S.S. school of thought: "Keep it simple, stupid." But, perhaps the studio misunderstood the acronym to mean "keep it simple and stupid." That'd explain h...more

Review: Resident Evil: Revelations 2: Episode 1

Resident Evil is in a weird place. After the middling Resident Evil 6 and the public flogging of Operation Raccoon City, I'm sure Capcom got the message that it needed to go back to basics. It did just that with Revelati...more

Review: There Came an Echo

Iridium Studios started out as a tiny developer with a humble Kickstarter for its rhythm role-playing game Sequence. It saw enough success that lead designer Jason Wishnov was able to fill out his team and spend more time tak...more
