The story so far:
JIm and CyberneticTigerZ, team up to battle the threat of the monstrosity known only as the Destructor-toid. CTZ decides the only way to deal with the beast is to call in RetroforceGO!, a team of skilled warriors hardened on the pixellated battlefields of the 80s and early 90s. With the knowledge that the RFGO! team are on their way, CTZ and Jim make their way towards the giant robot.
This weeks winning comment was from EarthBounder Ness:
Cut to Jim and Hamza's surroundings, where they've been encompased by a small number of low tier F.S. (Failed System) bots, Ataris, Jaguars and 3D0s. The bots are ready to launch an attack on the two heroes when suddenly a barrage of Super Scope blasts tear them to shreds.
The RFGO! team rushes to Jim and Hamza's sides. "Just in the knick of bloody time!" Jim shouts, wide eyed at the sight of what he now sees.
Cut out once again, further this time, showing that the bots that had surrounded the group initially were just the first wave, they are now surrounded by an entire army. Jim, Hamza and RFG all shout "Bring it!" as Topher throws an empty Slurpee cup at the bots.
I couldn't really get the 3D0, Atari and Jaguar bots to look right, so I spent a lot of time thinking about what I could use instead, but still keep it grounded to the suggestion. So I thought, failed system bots, a lot of people are complaining about their 360s dying ... hmmm ...
Then I played Left 4 Dead. Then watched Resident Evil: Degeneration. Then Played the Ravenholm chapter in Half-Life 2. Then suddenly, I had it! Failed consoles, Red Ring of Death ... dead ... UNDEAD ... ZOMBIE CONSOLES. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough room for RetroforceGO! to save the day.
THE RULES:
1. You have 24 hours from the time this blog was posted to suggest what happens next. After that, I'll choose the winning comment and the page will then be posted the following week.
2. Try to keep it relatively SFW.
3. You can only make a suggestion once per week.
4. Your suggestion has to fit on one page.
Til next time!

Comments policy
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Cut to RetroForceGO!, which has finally arrived on the scene. The crew, now united, defeats the rest of the Xbots handily.
...Except for the Dreamcast Robot, fleeing towards the inner city limits (directly towards Destructor-Toid) and hauling Jim Sterling along with him.
Cut to Colette smashing two RROD console zombies into each other(by way of NES controllers that were wrapped around their necks). Topher with his back some what facing Colette dunking a giant slurpee cup over RROD console zombie which proceeds to short out.
Colette: Where the heck is Chad?!
Topher: He said he went to get help!
A long panel with Chad arriving on a dolphin(flying/floating if you like) with (random Destructoid member. Jim, Hamza, Colette, etc.) looking at him bewildered.
Chad: Hey guys! Came as quick as we could.
Random Destructoid Member: You came alone on a dolphin?!
Final panel is a spread of Chad waist up with his arms outstretched as if to be crucified. With a big grin on his face, a mass of dolphins begin to massacre the zombie consoles in the background.
Chad: Who said (I) came alone? [can alternatively put we to include him and the dolphin]
My Story Suggestion:
Sterling is on the ground, the Red Ringer has taken him down. He is struggling with it. Sterling: "Bias my arse..."
Right as sterling's head is about to be popped by a Red Ringer, Dyson kicks it off and pins it down by the neck with his foot. Dyson: "You'll never guess what I found at Goodwill..."
Sterling is geting up in the background, Dyson Blasts the Red Ringer in the head in the foreground with the superscope. Sterling: "What?"
Large panel. The team gathers around a glowing object that Dyson has produced from his trench coat. It is dreamcast, that radiates with a spiraling light.
All at once:
Dyson: "I'm not entirely sure, but I get the feeling it's important. Plus it was only $40 bucks."
Topher: "There's something about it that feels... familiar to me."
The Destructor-toid lumes ominously in the background.
Cut to a a shadowed female form silhouetted by the moonlight throwing what seems like a shuriken but is really a glowing NES pad that rips through some of the zombie bots like butter.
Cut to another shadowed silhouetted form this one of a Dragon raining fire from his mouth taking out even more Red ringed robots. Landing on the ground below the mysterious female, the camera pans and the viewer notices that on the Dragon's back someone was riding him.
Brushing themselves off Jim and CTZ look up to their saviors blurrily making them out.
CTZ asks:
Thanks for the help...umm who are you guys?
Their vision clearing up they see: Nintendoll, SilverDragon and Y0j1mb0 climbing down from his back.
No need to thank us. We saw the commotion and couldn't just sit idly by watching from afar. As to who we are, call us the Cblog Recappers!
Anyways, great job Mikey, when this comic ends (it will be a sad day) you can charge $12937129875 for a print copy and I'll be the first to order one.
panel 2: inside the stomach of the beast our heros macgyver an IED (improvised explosive device) to explode out(shielding themselves from the blast with cartridges of years past) walking away unharmed
panel 3: RetroforceGO! is waiting on a jump from AAA because they left the lights on
AGAIN WITH THE AWESOME! :DDDDDDD
Also: Yojimbo's suggestion made me lol in excitement.
Yes, I keep one of each on retainer.
Also, my suggestion for next week. Jim only defeats half of each robot which causes the each one to completely die. And he doesn't ask CTZ for help because it would spoil the point of the battle to actually fight with a friend.
And then a horde of Wii units step in to save the day, 'cept only 5-6 show up at a time since the graphics engine can't support more than that in battle.
And there's a serious lack of "Also Cocks" in this comic. Poor showing, IMO.
You're awesome.
Love,
Takeshi.
When all hope seems lost, an explosion rips through the crowd of Red Ring Zombies, clearing the way for our heroes. When the dust settles, we see Samit Sarkar, piloting a mech constructed from modified PS3 consoles.
Lowering the brim of his Yankees hat, he calmly proclaims, "It looks like we've survived the console war, gentlemen."
Haha Samit in the comic would be hilarious. If someone gets injured, they'll say, "Urgh....I'm not feelin so good..." and Samit will be all like, "Well, you're not feeling well...holy shit you're bleeding!"
