The Destructoid Comic: Battle stations photo

Previously on the Destructoid Comic:

Just when you think it's the end for Destructoid, Brad Nicholson steps in to save the day. Scoring a direct hit on the Destructor-toid with energy stored in his mighty pectorals, he brings the Destructor-toid down. But for how long?

Winning comment was Chooly! His comment was:

Tom Jackson decides it's time to take drastic measures and sends out a small, elite army to attempt to dispatch Brad Nicholson and a battle ensues on the rooftops with an astonished CTZ watching in awe. Meanwhile, members of the forums have been theorizing that the destructor-toid is being controlled by a single source. They haven't been able to pinpoint where that is but what they do know is that the robot is being powered remotely somewhere else in the city. Our heros must then venture fourth with their newly acquired dreamcast to the location of the power source in an attempt to shut destructor-toid down.

I felt that this would be a good opportunity to tie up any lose ends, and try and make some sense as to what's happened so far. The ninjas were mentioned back on the first page, so it's only natural they'd be the Tom Jackson's elite army. And also the secret purpose of the 360 bots! It's also four pages to make up for missed time.

THE RULES:
1. Suggest what happens next!

2. Try to keep it relatively SFW.

3. You can only make a suggestion once per week.

4. Try to fit the suggestion on one page, although most of the time I will strecth it to two pages... sometimes even three!

How will Burch n' Davis fare against the dangers of Destructoid city? Will Anthony put two and two together and realise his sister is unwittingly behind all this? Will Topher finally get the Ikaruga working? Who will save Niero?

Your Ninjas. I find the lack of Bang Shishigami disturbing. Idea just popped into my head : have a character in the comic that is in the same vein as Bang (same dress style, behavior and mannerism with a kickass theme song). And Have a have a band follow him that performs the kickass theme song. And give Rev a Crowbar and Gravity Gun. Minor gripes aside, continue with the amazing-ness

As topher begins to install the dreamcast they find out that it needs a scan of samits finger prints to get it working but he won't give them his finger print because he only wants to support sony and the team has to play sports with him in order to get him to help. Then the dtoidbot gets up and dorkra the giant moth the defends earf fends him of while the team brings samit to the ikaruga. Ash pulls off a power combo forcing dorkra to start using his chicken nuggets as a last resort but if he uses all 160 he will die.

I definitely agree with the last few sentiments. It's not a simple process but you would have all the art finished and it would take a few small adjustments and additions to be able to print it up. Not simple but in this case it wouldn't be very difficult either and you could easily add some cool extra content to make it more attractive for people who enjoy reading it to actually buy it. but yeah. I would definitely enjoy seeing this all bound up in the end. If only because it's a pretty damn good thing for Mikey to have in the front of a portfolio to be able to show his stuff in a printed and published comic.

Well Obviously the Rev has got to have his epic RANTING POWERS! The words he speaks are weapons themselves, I mean.. look at what he did to Jaffe!

We got Brad vs the Ninja.. obviously Brad is gonna win this, because its BRAD.

So, we got Rev and Davis at the scene first to work on the robots, Rev attacks with his Rants.. Ash, well, I don't know what Davis uses as of yet in my mind... pretty much all I'm picturing is their battles and the group finally 'in their wonderful dreamcast ship'

@Furyfire- Maybe Davis could use her sketchpad as a sort of Scribblenauts/Drawn To Life like weapon where she draws things and they fight for her? 'Cept, it being Ashley Davis, the drawings are always adorable and harmless-looking, even though they're kicking the crap out of things.

Hmm...actually, to add onto falinter's comment, upon finding a large crowd of X-bots, maybe have Rev launch into a giant rant about how the X-bots and by the time he's finished, Davis has taken them all out and is standing there with a simple smile on her face, asking if he's done yet.

Excellent as ever, Mikey. ;O)

Seeing the army of ninjas heading towards Brad's location, Hamza reacts by buying Brad some time, lobbing grenades at the ninjas to slow them down. One of the ninjas is blown into a satellite television disk, breaking it. It happens to belong to Samit, who was watching a Swedish ice hockey match until the link was lost.

Samit becomes miffed, and the BronxBomber decides to deal with the ninja-based 'interference'.

ADDITIONAL IDEA:

I have a great idea for someone to animate a mock 'opening credits' scene for the comic, based on the one from Fist Of The North Star. In it, we could substitute Ken for Hamza, the main bad guy for Tom Jackson, the giant beast thing for the Destructor-toid, the main bad guy about 49 seconds in for Brad Nicholson, the girl for one of the female cast members of the comic, and Rev Anthony could be Bat/Bart carrying his sister towards the end.

I kinda had this idea in my head a lot because 'You are/wa shock!' sounds a lot like 'You're a shark!' But anyway...
