All I want is another console monster hunter, is that too much to ask? I played the hell out of tri and I'm not into handhelds. Give me my monster fix,capcom...cmon, ill do anything....ANYTHING!!!!!
Why the hell doesn't shit like this come to the states? It makes me wonder how many awesome Japanese PC games we're missing out on. Lord knows we don't see many over here.
This is like if Ronald McDonald was put in as a free multiplayer skin for Gears of War 3. Except a little bit weirder.
Every time I see something like this, I lose all hope that Capcom is going to bring any more Monster Hunter games to the west. :(

I firmly believe Capcom doesn't know a damn thing they're doing with any of their properties anymore, what with the whole hubub about MVC and MML3 lately, and then how everything seems to be with Monster Hunter these days. I know so many dedicated gamers, in other parts of the country online as well as local friends, who bought PSPs and such several times just for Monster Hunter, even going as far as PS3s for Ad-Hoc Party. I'm American. More than anything, they yearn for console MH games, or at least like a port of Frontier. But nope. It seems MH is doomed to Japan and handhelds, never to return as something more widely played.
It'd ridiculous to me. The demand definitely seems there, people are interested but just can't get into it because of handhelds or localisation, and the series just seems to be stagnating at Capcom's poor management. It's ridiculous to me how they're just completely detached for the consumers with their actions these days, like they don't know what the hell they're doing at all. It's harming their reputation, and I'm sure it's harming their sales. It's such a shame, too, they were such a great company with such great properties, and they just seem to be borking it lately.
In short, this looks really great and interesting, and I'll never get to play it. Shit.

Veidt, Capcom has stated that Sony of America won't let them release portable third psp/ps3 without trophies. Furthermore, Capcom is reluctant to release either unless sony updates ad hoc party in america, which dosen't look to likely.

No, Holmes...too bad they DIDN'T keep it going. The present should be a great indicator of how Capcom is more than content to keep strong franchises on ice in a misguided attempt to keep the revolving door of potential releases in an operational state. No Rival Schools. No Darkstalkers. No Megaman, for Jeebus' sake.
The way they see it, if you keep the fanbase hungry, they'll kill each other to be the first to play new franchise entry X. They do so by starving the fanbase for years and teasing them with pictures and one-off comments in little sidebars. Effective, yes. Douchey, very yes.

@Ronin: Good points, but Trophies... I mean, that can't be that hard at all. The joke would be put in one for playing the game, but I don't think Sony would take that. The game's nearly made of milestones with hunter ranks and the monsters you kill; it really wouldn't be that hard to just go "Cleared all Tier __ Missions" or "Slayed Pink Rathalos" as a trophy. And neither of those really seem to effect the development or localisation of a console or PC title.
@Everyday Legend: Very true, that's what they're doing, and it's stupid, but they do have reasons. It just seems like it's hitting it limits lately. It worked for a while, but now people are getting outright pissed instead of being left in want. There's the whole joke where boycotts and such don't work, but I think it could get to the point where the fans stop buying the games and say "Fuck this and fuck you" for having to wait so long for often what seems mediocre or troubled products. I understand building suspense, but they're just going to get to the point where people walk off and it ceases being effective.
